영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine direct and indirect effect of characteristic and embeddedness of farmers on participation of local food production. For this purpose, this study used literature review and questionnaire survey. To examine the characteristic and embeddedness of farmers who were taking part in the direct sales store of local food, existing literatures was analyzed and a questionnaire survey was carried out. Based on study findings, policy implications are as follows: From a social perspective, it is necessary to select participating farmers properly, carry out training programs for farmers, and establish training programs for urban farmers and consumers. From an environment perspective, it is necessary to establish the certification system of farm products and brands. From an economical perspective, it is necessary to establish the transportation system of farm products, compensate for native seeds and expand school meals. And from a governance perspective, it is necessary to establish the supply system of farming workforce and reinforce its public relations, establish private-public joint governance, and establish the system of voluntary works. Local food seems to contribute to sustainable farming and its sustainable development greatly. In addition to the reduction of distribution channels and the increase of direct transactions, nationwide interest in local food must be developed into an opportunity for coexistence between sustainable agriculture and farming villages and between urban and village communities.
