국문 초록

읽기이해는 읽기의 궁극적인 목적이며 학교학습을 통해 습득되어야 할 필수기술이다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 고학년에서 읽기이해에 어려움을 보이는 읽기장애 위험학생을 조기에 선별하기 위해 이들의 어휘 인지상태를 인지진단모형으로 진단하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 읽기이해에 가장 많은 영향을 주며 높은 상관을 보이는 어휘능력을 평가할 어휘능력 부진 평가를 인지진단모형에 기반하여 개발하고 이것을 기초학력 기준학년인 3학년 학생 1000명에게 실시하여 이들의 어휘능력을 살펴보았다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 일반학생들은 6가지 어휘관련 인지요소를 모두 숙달한 학생들이 90% 이상이었으 나 읽기장애 위험학생들의 40%는 6가지 어휘관련 인지요소 중 하나도 습득하지 못하고 있었다. 또한 어휘 인지상태에 따른 잠재집단분석에서 읽기장애 위험학생들이 인지상태에 따라 일반학생과 동일한 잠재집단에 속할 수 있으며, 일반학생으로 분류되었음에도 인지상태에 따라 읽기장애 위험학생과 동일한 집단에 속할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 읽기장애 위험학생의 읽기능력 향상을 위한 어휘능력 진단 및 교육에 관해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Reading comprehension is the ultimate goal of reading and is a necessary skill to be learned through school learning. The purpose of this study is to diagnose the vocabulary knowledge of students at risk for reading disabilities. For this purpose, we developed a vocabulary test based on the cognitive diagnostic modeling. Vocabulary knowledge has the greatest effect on reading comprehension and they are highly, and positively correlated. The results of this study are as follows. More than 90% of normal students mastered all six vocabulary-related cognitive attributes, but 40% of students at risk for reading disabilities were not able to master any of the six vocabulary-related cognitive attributes. In latent class analysis according to vocabulary recognition status, students at risk for reading disabilities can belong to the same potential group as normal students according to their cognitive status, on the other hand some of normal students belonged to the same group as students at risk for reading disabilities according to their cognitive status. Implications of these results and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
