국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 도덕교육에서 정(情) 윤리와 정의(justice) 윤리가 어떻게 통합될 수 있는지 그 가능성 및 방향을 탐구해 보는 것이다. 정있는 인간은 정의롭지 못하고, 정의로운 인간은 정이 없는 것으로 이해되어 왔다. 그러나 정의로운 사회로 나아가기 위해서는 정이 배제될 것이 아니라 정이 요구된다고 생각한다. 정 관계의 상대방에 대한 유대감과 애착은 자발적으로 상대방의 복지를 추구하도록 하기 때문이다. 본 연구는 정 윤리와 정의 윤리를 통합하는 것이 정있는 정의로운 사회를 실현할 수 있다는 생각 하에서, 도덕교육에서 정 윤리와 정의 윤리를 통합하기 위한 방향을 탐구하였다. 첫째, 정 윤리와 정의 윤리는 어떻게 이해될 수 있는가? 둘째, 정 윤리와 정의 윤리의 분리에 대한 문제점은 무엇이고, 통합의 필요성은 무엇인가? 셋째, 도덕교육에서 정 윤리와 정의 윤리를 통합하기 위한 원리는 무엇인가? 정 윤리와 정의 윤리는 상반되는 것이 아니라 자신의 윤리를 실현하기 위해서 서로를 필요로 한다. 정 윤리와 정의 윤리의 통합의 원리는 좋은 삶의 추구이다. 좋은 삶은 다른 존재와 더불어 행복하게 잘 사는 삶이고, 정 윤리나 정의 윤리 역시 이러한 삶을 추구하는 방향에서 이해되어야 한다. 정 윤리와 정의 윤리를 매개짓는 연결고리로서 정서, 특히 도덕적 정서의 역할을 강조한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to suggest the possibility and direction for integration between the ethic of Cheong(情) and ethic of justice in moral education. It has been understood that the person with Cheong is unjust and the person with justice has no Cheong. But we need Cheong for just society. People within Cheong-relation pursue others well-being spontaneously. The aim of this research is to study the direction of an integration between the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of justice in moral education. For more details, first, what are the perspectives of the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of justice? Second, what are the problems of the perspective of incompatibility with the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of justice and the necessity of integration between them? Third, what is the principle of the integration of the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of justice in moral education? Cheong and justice are not contrary to each other but need each other. The principle of the integration of the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of justice is the pursuit of the good life. The good life is the life of well-being with others. I suggest the role of emotion, particularly moral emotion as the connecting link of the ethic of Cheong and the ethic of justice.
