중소기업의 글로벌화 방안에 관한 연구: 무형자산을 중심으로

국문 초록

지금까지 중소기업이 대기업에 비해 글로벌 시장진출을 위한 역량이 부족하였다. 그러나 최근 글로벌 환경변화에 따라 중소기업도 글로벌화를 달성할 수 있는 새로운 기회가 늘어나고 있다. 특히, IT혁명으로 거래비용이 감소해 중소기업이 세계적 기업으로 부상하는 것이 가능해지고 있다. 또한 FTA 확산, 자본, 인력, 기술 등 생산요소의 국가 간 이동이 확대됨에 따라 시장통합이 가속 화되고 규모의 경제 확대로 새로운 틈새시장 기회가 중소기업에게 제공되고 있다. 이러한 시점에 본 연구는 중소기업의 연구개발비, 무형자산, 특허등록수가 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석함으로써 미래 경제적 가치를 창출할 수 있는 무형자산의 중요성을 강조하고 연구개발 활동의 증진을 도울 수 있는 학술적 증거를 제시하였다. 구체적으로, 2003년부터 2012년까지 코스닥 상장기업 5,140 기업/연도를 대상으로 총연구개발 비, 무형자산, 특허등록수가 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 총연구개발비, 무형 자산, 특허등록수가 많을수록 시가총액이 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 무형자산을 영업권, 개발비, 그 외 무형자산으로 항목별로 구분하여 분석한 결과 영업권은 기업가치에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았으나 개발비, 그 외 무형자산은 기업가치에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 중소기업의 수익성 개선에 있어서 무형자산이 매우 중요하다는 것을 의미한다. 이에 중소기업에서는 특허권 등 무형자산의 현물출자를 통한 재무구조개선을 적극 적으로 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 최근 환경변화를 기회로 살려 중소기업이 경쟁열위를 극복하고 글로벌화에 성공하기 위한 방안을 연구해봄으로써 강소기업으로 도약할 수 있는 학술적 연구결과를 제시하였다는 점에서 시사점이 있다.

영문 초록

So far, Small Business lacked the capacity for global markets than larger companies. In recent years, however, new opportunities are increasing global Small Business also achievable in accordance with the global environmental changes. In particular, the transaction costs are reduced to small businesses has become possible to emerge as a global leader in the IT revolution at once. FTA also spread, capital, labor, technology, etc. depending on the transboundary movement of factors of production and the expansion of market integration is accelerating scale of new niche opportunities are being offered to Small Business by expanding economy. This study was presented to help the promotion of scientific evidence highlighting the importance of intangible assets that can create future economic value through empirical analysis the impact on the firm value and R&D activities in this regard. Specifically, from 2003 to 2012 KOSDAQ listed companies 5140 corporate/year target Total research and development expenses, intangible assets, the number of patents registered and analyzed the impact on firm value. Analysis of the total research and development expenses, intangible assets, the greater the number of patents registered in the previous year, the market capitalization adjusted total assets was found to increase significantly. In addition, intangible assets, goodwill, development costs, other intangible assets separately from goodwill, itemized analysis of the relevance of the results and enterprise value is R & D did not have a significant effect on firm value, and other intangible assets is a significant amount of business value (+) appeared to affect the. The analysis results indicate that the intangible asset is very important for the profitability of Small Business. This small, it is necessary to patent such a financial restructuring through the kind contribution of intangible assets aggressively. This study provided the opportunity to become a non-corporate Small Business overcome the competitive disadvantage by utilizing the latest environmental change as an opportunity to study trying to plan for success in globalization has implications in that.
