The purpose of this study is to analyse the planning process of Myeon Center Comprehensive DevelOl>ment Projects(MCCDP) and propose alternatives The Minist.ry for Foc， Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries(MFAFF) plans to set a pilot projects for MCCDP, whκh are pertinent. MCCDP invokes the process and scheme of Rural Village Comprehen잉ve Development Project(RVCDPJ ar has some probJems. One of the problems is that MCCDP of MFAFF and 5ma!! Town Oevelo야 nt Project(STDPl of l\1inistry of Public Administration and Security(MPASl are implemented as separate projects As a result, development of rural center suffers inefficiency We suggest desirable direction of MCCDP as follows: first, MCCDP and STDP should be int，raled in a Rural Service Ccnter Development Projed. Second, MCCDP and a spatial development plan for city or county should 아 connected. Third. direction of MCCDP should be reshaped to fit the changing ru ral condition. Fourth. l\1CCDP should include more economic deve 야)ment programs or projects which are related with regional economy and be more flexible.
