영문 초록

A series of policy initiatives has been implemented meet the basic needs of rurnl ople and improve their quality of lives. Desαte of such policy efforts, there still exist much disparity in public services provision betwn Urban and Rural Korea, as well as between rura1 areas of Korea and the advanced countries, which is still to be solved by Korean rurp icy -makers. To top it 이f， it has been taken up that the established rural polîcy approaches n‘~ to be renewed to steer policy directions in rural development as a whole, and manage the objects of rural p이jcy initiatives in detail, as w. Recently, introdudng rur services standard is being conside때 as one of such new approaches in rura1 Jllicy This article projXlses in rudimentary level of discussion Korean Rural Seπvices Stand be introduced. Such a proposition is based on the fact that it is very important to set up thc nati1 minimum levels provislons of certain core public，rvκes，so the govemment can make more accurate investment plans for ral development, and manage and rvise the outcomes of the policy investments. First, from the review of the preceding stues， we derive some common items as φtential public seπκe!i to be given national mmimum levels of provision. Second, through data analy s of the common rvlce items, we analyze the coriditions of public services provision of rural areas in Korea. Third, check up the problems concemed with current policy ways of publκ 50πκe provision Fourth and lastly, we propose introducing Korean Rural Services Standard.
