영문 초록

This study aimed to identify agglomeration economy as the most important location factors with the aid of estimation the Cobb-Douglas production function using regional data concerning manufacturing inductries. The results of the estimation are : Recently agglomeration effects in the large cities such as Seoul, Busan and Taegu became relatively lower than in their neighboring hinter areas. This reflect the appearance of agglomeration diseconomy in those cities. A diminishing trends toward the concentration of the manufacturing industries in large cities and an accelerating trends of external expansion from large cities were also caused by agglomeration economy.
