국문 초록

이 연구에서는 우리나라의 대표적인 지역문화축제인 부산국제영화제(PIFF)의 경제적 가치가 추정되었으며, 2007년에 실시된 12회 축제를 연구대상으로 하였다. 경제적 가치에는 시장 가치와 비시장가치가 존재하는데 본 연구에서는 공공재의 성격이 강한 지역문화축제의 특성을 고려하여 비시장가치를 추정하였다. 비시장가치로는 Hicks의 보상변이가 추정되었고, 이중양분선택형 조건부 가치추정법이 사용되었다. 적절한 조건부 가치추정법의 연구방법을 도출하기 위해 문화자원을 대상으로 한 국내외 연구의 결과들이 검토되었으며, 이를 통해 모집단 선정과 연구대상지와 방문자 시장규모와의 관계에 대한 중요성을 제기하였다. 추정결과 영화제 참가횟수, 관람영화편수, 숙박여부, 재방문의사, 직업소유여부, 영화에 대한 관심정도 변수들이 응답자의 지불의사금액에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 추정된 부산국제영화제의 1인당 연간 지불의사금액은 55,213원이고 전체적으로는 연간 42억6천만 원의 비시장가치를 창출하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study was to evaluate the economic value cf the 12th Pusan International Film Festival in 2007, which is one cf the most popular festivals in Korea The economic value included both the market value and non-market value; however, only the non-market value was estimated in the study, since the local festival is considered a public good For this study, Hicks' compensating variation was calculated and DB-DC CVM was adopted as an evaluation method. Researchin Korea and overseas hid been investigated in order to find out an optimal CVM for the cultural resources and the significance on population selection and the relationship between the object site and the market scale cf visitors were found out. In conclusion, the valuations (such as the number cf festivals tint visitors attended, the number cf film tint visitors saw, overnight or day trip, the intention cf re-visit, employed or unemployed, and interest-degree for films) had an influence on the total amount of willingness-to-pay. As a result, it was estimated tint the willingness-to-pay per year per person was 55,213 won; the total amount cf non-market value was 4,260,000,000 won
