국문 초록

본 논문은 지역산업연관모형을 이용하여 2007년 경주세계문화엑스포 개최로 인하여 경주 지역에 파급시킨 경제적 효과를 측정하는데 있다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 한국은행에서 우리나라에서는 처음으로 직접조사(survey)에 의하여 작성된 지역산업연관표를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 지역산업연관표를 토대로 관광승수(생산, 소득, 고용, 부가가치)를 도출하였다. 개방산업연관모형을 이용한 경우 경주세계문화엑스포 개최로 인하여 경주지역에 미친 직ㆍ간접 경제적 파급효과를 산출한 결과 생산파급액은 2,065억원, 소득파급액은 464억원, 부가가치파급액은 1,008억원, 고용파급자수는 2,056명으로 나타났다. 또한, 폐쇄형산업연관모형을 이용한 경우 경주세계문화엑스포 개최로 인하여 경주지역에 미친 직ㆍ간접 및 유발효과를 산출한 결과, 생산파급액은 3,268억원, 소득파급액은 704억원, 부가가치파급액은 1,612억원, 고용파급자수는 2,942명으로 냐타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose if this paper was to estimate the economic impact if the 2007 Gyeongju World Culture Expo on the Korean economy, using a survey-based regional input-output (I-O model. In particular, this study employed the regional I-O transactions tables which were developed by Bank if Korea for the first time, using the direct survey method Based on the regional I-O transactions tables, tourism multipliers were derived with respect to output, income, employment, and value-added Furthermore, surveys questioned domestic and foreign visitors in order to estimate per capita expenditures. The results if the open I-O model indicated that the hosting of the 2007 Gyeongju World Culture Expo generated 206,492 million Won of output impact, 46,399 million Won cf income impact, 100,783 million Won of value-added impact, and 2,056 full-time jobs throughout direct and indirect effects. The results cf the closed I-O model also showed that the hosting if the Expo produced 326,841 million Won if output impact, 70,432 million Won cf income impact, 161,239 million Won if value-added impact, and 2,942 full-time jobs throughout direct, indirect, and induced effects.
