여가 소비 및 여가 취향에 관한 연구동향

국문 초록

이 연구는 여가소비와 문화소비, 여가취향과 문화취향에 대한 본격적인 연구동향을 분석하기 위한 예비적이고 탐색적인 시도이다. 이 연구에서는 부르디외 이론을 적용하여 여가소비와 여가 취향을 분석한 연구를 대상으로 내용분석을 통해 연구의 동향을 분석하고자 한다. 한국 사회를 대상으로 문화자본 이론에 근거한 경험적 연구 결과는 매우 다양하고 일관되지 않다. 모두 17편의 논문에 대한 내용분석 결과 대부분의 연구는 부르디외 이론의 현실적합성에 대한 실증적 연구였고, 질적 방법보다는 양적 방법을 이용하여 분석한 연구가 많았다. 또 문화자본에 대한 직접적인 측정보다는 학력 등과 같은 간접적인 측정방법을 이용하였다. 경제자본 측정 변수로는 소득을 사용하는 경우가 가장 많았다. 대부분의 연구결과는 부르디외의 문화자본 이론을 지지하였고, 연구자의 소속은 사회학 전공자가 가장 많았다. 여가소비와 여가취향에 대한 논문은 대부분 일반인을 조사대상으로 분석하였고, 분석에 사용한 자료는 연구자가 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 직접 수집한 자료인 1차 자료보다 타인이 수집해놓은 자료인 2차 자료를 사용하는 경우가 더 많았다. 특히 2차 자료의 경우에는 전국적으로 조사된 대규모 표본인 경우가 많았다. 확률적인 방법을 이용하여 표본을 추출한 논문이 비확률적인 방법으로 추출한 논문보다 많았다. 자료수집 방법은 자기기입식 방식의 설문조사인 서베이와 전문면접원에 의한 면접이 각각 7편으로 같았다. 여가 소비와 여가 취향의 영역에서 문화자본 이론을 검증하려는 연구에서는 과학적인 조사설계가 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study is an explorative analysis to explore the research trend of leisure and cultural taste in Korea, using content analysis. For this purpose, I searched all relevant research articles through keyword search method in electronic databases such as RISS, KISS and DBPIA. At the first stage, 148 articles was searched, however, only 17 articles were analyzed after deleting the articles that have no relations to this subject. Research results show that most studies on leisure taste are based on empiricism or positivism rather than theoretical and conceptual background and most articles used quantitative method more than qualitative method. Also, most research articles measured cultural capital as indirect way through respondent’s education than direct way such as respondent’s information or knowledge, interest, and participation on highbrow culture. When it comes to the research design, secondary data that collected through probability sampling methods nationwide was more used than primary data that researcher collected for the research purpose. Survey using questionnaire and interview were the most popular data collection methods for researchers. This study recommends that scientific research design is required for the rigorous verification on the cultural capital theory of leisure taste.
