영재 인성‧진로 교육프로그램이 초등학생들의 창의성, 자아개념 및 진로인식에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 영재들의 인성, 리더십 및 진로지도에 목표를 두고 개발된 ‘영재 인성, 진로교육 프로그램(이경화 외, 2014)’이 일반 초등학생들과 영재들의 창의성, 자아개념 및 진로인식 함양에 효과적인지를 확인하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 서울의 A 초등학교에 재학 중인 일반학급 2개 반과 영재학급 1개 반을 선정하여, 실험집단 1(일반)과 실험집단 2(비교집단-영재), 그리고 통제집단(일반)에 배정하였다. 그리고 사전, 사후검사로 창의성, 자아개념 및 진로인식검사를 실시하였으며, 실험집단 1, 2에는 영재 인성진로교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 실험집단 1과 통제집단 간에는 창의성, 자아개념, 진로인식에 있어서 차이가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타나(p<.05), 프로그램을 적용한 수업의 효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 또한 실험집단 1, 2에 있어서 수업 전, 후의 향상 정도를 비교한 결과, 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았으므로 영재교육을 위해 개발된 인성, 진로교육 프로그램이라 할지라도 일반학생들의 인성 및 진로교육을 위해 효과적으로 적용할 수 있다는 점이 제안되었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to confirm the effectiveness of ‘The gifted and talented personality & career program’ which was developed by Lee et al(2014). The participants of this study were selected from A elementary school in K district in Seoul; 25 3rd grade students in general class were assigned to the experimental group, the same number of general class students(25 children) with the same grade(3rd grade elementary school) were assigned to the control group and 29 students of gifted class were assigned to the comparative group. In this study, the effects of ‘The gifted and talented personality & career program’on elementary students' creativity, self-concept and career awareness was identified. But theres was no difference of program effects on creativity, self-concept and career awareness between general and gifted students. The results suggest that ‘The gifted and talented personality & career program’ can be used effectively not only for gifted students, but also general elementary school students.
