국문 초록

본 연구는 공공서비스에서 배제된 성인 발달장애인을 돌보는 어머니의 부양경험을 파악하여 공공서비스에서 배제된 이후의 자녀를 부양하는 경험에 대한 이해를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 유의표집 방법을 통해 총 5명의 연구참여자들을 선정했으며, 자료수집기간은 2011년 11월부터 2012년 2월까지였다. Giorgi의 현상학적 분석방법이 적용된 본 연구의 결과, 연구 참여자들의 기술로부터 총 6개의 구성요소와 21개의 하위 구성요소가 도출되었다. 이를 통해 공공서비스로부터 배제된 자녀를 부양하는 어머니의 경험이 "막막하지만 버텨내는 삶"임을 알 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 실천적 함의를 제시하였으며, 성인 발달장애인 자녀를 부양하는 경험이 자녀가 공공서비스에서 배제되는 경우 심화되고 지속되는 어려움에 대해서 고려해야할 상황들이 필요함을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this study is to examine caring experience of mother's of adults with developmental disability excluded from the public service. Purposive sampling method was used to select participants of this study and five participants were selected. Data were collected between November 2011 and February 2012. This study used phenomenological research methodology, in particular Giorgi's analytical method. This study deducted total of seven constituents and 21 sub constituents, based on 59 meaning units derived from participants' descriptions. The fundamental theme of caring experience of mothers of adults with developmental disability excluded from the public service appeared to be . This study suggested that more aspects should be considered to support mothers caring for person with intellectual disabilities excluded from the public service. Based on these findings, practical and political implications in order to relieve burdens of mothers of person with intellectual disabilities excluded from the public service were discussed.
