영문 초록

The study was intended to assess the factors outlining interior images of restaurants, to collect and analyze a characteristic of the color, and to study the classification system of color images for restaurants. The following is the results. In order to analyze a latest characteristic of the color for restaurants from the World Restaurants and Bars 1.2.3.4. A characteristic of the color for the respective image was evaluated by I.R.I Hue & Tone 898. We carried out a survey of 33 color experts (professionals and graduate students of dining atmosphere display and color professionals) to find out objective color images. We picked adjectives with regard to images of visual environment to classify color images for restaurants. We performed a factor analysis on the basis of relationship among the selected color adjectives to investigate a system of classification. In results, 6 standard adjectives were extracted; 'courtesy', 'mild', 'dynamic', 'high-tech', 'natural', and 'simple'. We carried out multiple regression analysis to evaluate a characteristic of the color for the respective image. In results, an image was generally influenced by the hue, and particularly by the hue of ceiling and wall. GGY was common hue for the ceiling. GYY for the wall, Y for the floor and the table, and GYBG for the chair was frequent.
