영문 초록

This study tried to verify the food coordinator's important role as the formal type of occupation, examining the recognition degree of restaurant employees about the post of professional food coordinators. My analytical approaching method was carried out based on the statistical data collected by a questionnaire survey to the restaurant employees who are working for the restaurants of whose food unit cost except beverage is higher than average check 15,000 won. The results of this study found that restaurant employees think that the role of professional food coordinator is very important, therefore food coordination training is needed. Conclusively, almost restaurant employees recognize the fact that food coordinator's employment is inevitable because all restaurants have to have priceless advice from professional food coordinators. These consequences reveal the important necessity of food coordination position in order to strengthen the competitiveness of food service industry and to provide high quality of services for the customers.
