가족의 자살이 유가족에게 미치는 심리적 영향 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 보웬(Bowen)의 가족체계이론을 중심으로 가족의 자살을 경험한 유가족들에게 미치는 심리적 문제들을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 부부체계에서는 우울, 심리ㆍ정신적 장애, 사회적 위축, 슬픔, 죄의식과 분노, 가족부양에 대한 부담감이 주된 특징으로 나타났다. 부모체계에서는 자녀양육에 실패했다는 인식, 절망감, 우울증, 사회적 관계의 단절, 위축, 자살위험이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 부모-자녀체계에서 부모의 자살 후 자녀는 의사소통 왜곡, 죄 의식, 자살자와의 동일시, 심한 우울증이나 불안장애, 양극성 정신장애 같은 정신질환을 야기하는 것으로 나타났다. 자녀체계에서는 우울증이 높게 나타났으며, 어린 시절에 가족 내에서 자살을 경험하면 나중에 자살할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 자신의 생활에 대한 반성을 통해 자아분화, 성장, 삶의 목표와 소망이 생기는 등 성숙한 모습으로 발전할 수도 있다. 가족의 자살을 경험한 유가족의 심리적 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 유가족 개인의 노력보다는 사회가 제공하는 효율적인 서비스 네트워크, 사회적 지지기반 마련, 지역사회 네트워크 강화, 자조집단 형성이라는 정책적 지원을 고려해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The study analyzed psychological issues of the impact on family of the deceased, who suffered from the experiences of suicides family, based on the family systems theory of Bowen. In the Couple System, the result of the study has revealed the chief characteristic of depression, psychological &mental disorders, social withdrawal, sadness, the feelings of guilt and anger. In the Parental System, their awareness of child-rearing failure, despair, depression, the severance of social relations and shrinking, the parents' suicidal risk appeared to be rising. In the Parent-Child System, after the suicide of their parent, the study has discovered that the child has suffered from distortion of information and communication, and the feeling of guilt, identifying himself with his/her suicidal parent, severe depression, anxiety disorder and bipolar mental disorder. In the Children System, the study has shown that brothers or sisters enter higher possibility of depression. Moreover, the probability says that the child's potential suicide is high. However, he may look forward to a mature person by going through self-differentiation, growth, life aims and vision. If we are to solve the psychological problems of family of the deceased, who suffered from the experiences of suicides family, it is time that we needed to consider policy support based on social services of effective service network, preparation of social support groundwork, strengthening of community network and formation of self-help groups rather than individual effort of family of the deceased.
