국문 초록

이 논문은 조선후기 가사인 <복선화음가>에 대한 연구로서, 첫째, <복선화음가>는 당시 성행하던 女性治山 현상을 반영해 나온 계녀가이며, 둘째, <복선화음가>가 여성집단 내부에서만 유통되지 않고 보다 대중적 독서물로 존재했을 가능성이 있음을 주장한다. 이는 <복선화음가>에는 여러 이본들이 있고, 그 이본들이 여성치산의 훈계에만 주력하는 '계녀형'과, 계녀형과 달리 조직적 구성, 주인공 인물의 극적 형상화 등을 도모하고 있는 '전기형'으로 나누어져 있음에 주목한 결과이다. 여성문제를 다룬 텍스트가 대중적 독서물로 존재했을 가능성은, 텍스트를 거듭 현실로 환원하여 해석하던 기왕의 여성문학 연구관습을 반성하게 한다. 이 시기 여성문학 텍스트들 역시 일반문학과 마찬가지로 중층적으로 존재했을 가능성을 염두에 둘 것을 권고하고 있는 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is on the Bok-Seon-Hwa-Eum-Ga, a Ga-Sa from the late Cho-Sun period. The main arguments are as follows: first, the Bok-Seon-Hwa-Eum-Ga is a didactic song for women reflecting the flourishing fortune managing by females at that time; second, there is a possibility that the readership of the Bok-Seon-Hwa-Eum-Ga was not restricted within the female groups but more widely read by a general public. Such conclusions are derived from the careful observation on the diverse versions of the Bok-Seon-Hwa-Eum-Ga. These versions can be grouped into two categories: one is a "didactic type" which focuses on the teachings concerning the managing fortune by females; the other is a "biographical type" which, unlike a "didactic type, pay more attention on the systematic structure and dramatic realization of the main characters. The possibility of the existence of the text on female issue as a popular reading material poses a question on the traditional research practice on the female literature which habitually deals with the text by reducing it to reality. It is necessary to keep in mind that the female literature text were possibly existed in multi-layered fashion just like the general literature of the same period.
