예비특수교사의 특수학교와 특수학급에 대한 선호도 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비특수교사의 특수학교 및 특수학급의 교사교수활동, 학생학습활동에 대한 선호도를 알아보기 위해 8개 지역(강원, 경남ㆍ부산, 경북ㆍ대구, 광주ㆍ전남, 충청)에 특수교육학과가 개설된 대학교의 예비특수교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 예비특수교사는 특수학급보다는 특수학교에서 교사교수활동을 더 선호하였다. 그러나 장애학생의 학습활동은 특수학교보다 특수학급을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비특수교사의 배경변인에 따른 특수학급의 교사교수활동에 대한 선호도 차이는 중등특수교육 전공자일수록, 학년은 1학년일수록 더 많은 기대감을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 지역별로는 대구ㆍ경북지역 예비특수교사들이 특수학급의 교사교수활동에 대한 기대감이 낮은 것으로 나타났으며 이는 특수학교 학생학습활동에서도 같은 결과로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비특수교사의 특수학교 및 특수학급의 교사교수활동과 학생학습활동 대한 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 예비특수교사의 교사교수활동 및 학생학습활동에 대한 시사점과 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the prospective teachers' preferences of special schools and classes. The questionnaire of this study consists of teaching and learning activity factors. The results of this study are as follows: First, prospective teachers prefer special classes over special schools for the teaching activity factors. They anticipate that special schools have more chances of interchanging colleagues' idea than special classes have. In addition, they have a lot more expectation on special schools than special classes for the handicapped students' learning activities. Second, in the group expectation analysis about the teaching activities between special schools and classes, younger prospective teachers (especially freshmen) have high expectations on the special classes' teaching activities. They anticipate that special classes include a variety of learning activities more than special schools do. The prospective teachers in Daegu, Gyeongbuk area have low expectations on the teaching activities of special schools and classes. Third, correlation analysis of factors is found to be statistically significant results. Therefore, prospective teachers prefer special schools for teaching activities and special classes for learning activities.
