북한이탈학생의 국어 사용능력 신장에 대한 연구

국문 초록

우리 남한사회는 현재 이미 1만 6천여 명의 북한이탈주민이 입국하여 전국에 정착하여 살아가고 있다. 북한이탈학생들은 풍토와 언어 쓰임이 다른 한국의 학교생활을 갑작스럽게 접하게 됨으로써 정신적인 부담이 가중되고, 탈북 후 중국 등 여러 나라를 거치는 과정에서 장기간의 학습 공백상태가 있다. 이들이 빠른 시일 내에 국어사용 능력을 신장할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 북한이탈학생에게 맞는 개별화 프로그램과 많은 노력이 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 이들을 위한 특별 맞춤형 국어교육의 틀을 모색해야 할 것이다. 이에 연구자는 말하기와 쓰기 지도를 중심으로 북한이탈학생들의 국어 사용능력 신장을 위한 프로그램을 개발, 선정, 운영하게 되었고 운영 기간 동안 얻은 자료들을 바탕으로 북한이탈학생의 한국어 사용능력 신장에 대한 질적 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과 약 2년간의 북한이탈학생들의 한국어 사용 능력 신장 교실의 운영 과정을 기술하고, 북한이탈학생들의 언어실태와 언어생활, 언어문화를 논의할 수 있었다. 실태분석에서는 북한이탈학생들의 언어생활의 말하기, 쓰기와 관련하여 현저히 낮은 어휘력, 전투적인 언어 사용, 의존적인 언어학습 성향 등의 세 가지로 분류할 수 있다. 북한이탈 학생의 국어사용능력 신장 방안을 말하기와 쓰기 중심으로 제안해보면 먼저 말하기 능력 향상에 있어서 본 연구를 사례로 친구들과의 의사소통 능력 신장, 어휘력, 발음교정, 언어예절 등의 요소에 언어향상 프로그램, 동화구연, 학습 연극 프로그램과 같은 교육을 실시할 수 있겠다. 동화구연 프로그램은 풍부한 표현력과 의사소통 능력을 신장될 수 있으며 학습 연극 프로그램도 자연스러운 상황에서의 표현력, 어휘력 신장을 꾀할 수 있다. 또한 북한어에 익숙해져 있는 학생들에게 언어치료 프로그램은 전문적인 인력을 투입하여 발음을 교정할 수 있으며, 남한의 언어 예절에 대해서도 바르게 배울 수 있는 과정이 될 수 있다. 다음 쓰기 능력의 향상을 위해 연필을 잡는 바른 자세부터 시작하여 국어의 이해력, 표현력, 띄어쓰기, 받아쓰기, 어휘력, 글의 구조 지식 등을 향상시켜야 할 것이며 글을 쓰는데 필요한 남한의 맞춤법을 익혀야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 북한이탈학생을 쓰기 중심의 국어사용능력 신장을 위해서는 우선 우리나라 남한어의 이해와 표현과 독해력 향상과 맞춤법 이해에 맞는 교재를 개발한 다음, 학생 개별에 맞는 맞춤식 교육이 우선되어야 할 것이다. 이런 연구 결과를 바탕으로 Ⅴ장에서는 연구 내용을 요약ㆍ정리하고, 아울러 북한이탈학생들의 말하기와 글쓰기 수준에서 상당히 많은 발전이 있었다는 것을 제시하고 새로운 프로그램을 개발해서 그들의 말하기와 쓰기 실력을 향상하여 국어의 사용에 있어서 남한의 학생 수준으로 끌어올리는 방안을 모색하였다. 본 연구는 북한이탈학생들의 국어사용 실태를 말하기와 쓰기를 중심으로 실태 분석을 통해 학생들이 가지고 있는 문제점을 밝혀봄으로써 좀 더 많은 북한이탈학생들을 대상으로 종합적인 비교 연구를 통해 북한이탈학생의 한국어 사용능력 신장의 총체적인 이해를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Currently about 16,000 North Korean Refugee in our south Korea sett1ed in the country are living in immigration. North Korean Refugee students in South Korea used a different culture and language by being exposed suddenly be a mental burden, after the defection of several countries such as China goes through the process of 1earning in the long term(as short as 2-3 years) from a few months there is a vacuum. As soon as they can grow in the Korean language skills, we develop for North Korean Refugee students to individualized program and should be a lot of effort. Therefore, for these special personalized frame of Korean language education should seek. So, I was conducting research based on Korean education program conducted in 2010 and Korean Language Education conducted in 2011, the purpose of this study suffers from a North Korean Refugee student in this school adaptation process and consequent poor understanding of the language school maladjustment is to minimize the phenomenon and seamlessly adapt to school life has its purpose. In this study, Korean education program was operated for two years for eliminate 1earning disabilities and boost adaptation to school life. So, I carried out a qualitative case study about North Korean Refugee Students’ Korean use ability. As a result, nearly two years with North Korean students leaving the classroom that I know the operating process, I was able to discuss about their language status, language life and language culture. In process in 2010, It has to overcome differences in language North and South Korea, language learning ability is essential for learning basic academic and settled, underachievers in school life by minimizing the confidence and self0identity is the purpose of cultivating. We conducted individual self-paced training for promotion of language skills and vocabulary, communication and foster confidence in the ability to adapt in order to improve school to North Korean refugee student who are experiencing difficulties in difference of language culture. So, in 2010, we managed Korean program, speech and language Therapy, storytelling program. In 2011, we managed Korean dream school, Learning plays program. Korean dream school is for the eliminating learning disabilities, learning plays program is for the school adjustmet. It can be classified into three in study of North Korean Refugee student, low vocabulary, combat use of language, Learning a language-dependent tendency. To boost Korean using ability for North Korean Refugee student, elements related to student learning of each language is required.
