교사들이 지각한 교사로서의 개인적 특성과 교수ㆍ학습 실행의 수준

국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 초등학교 교사들은 자신의 개인적 특성이 어느 수준이며 교실에서의 교수ㆍ학습 실행 수준이 어느 정도라고 인식하는지를 파악하는 데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 연구 방법은 설문조사이었으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 설문에 응답한 교사들은 개인적 특성 모두에서 높은 수준을 나타냈다. 다만, 학생에 대한 기대수준에서는 타 지역 교사에 비해 읍면지역 교사들이 낮은 수준을 보였다. 그리고 학생의 발달과 학습에 대한 이해 능력에 대해서는 낮은 경력 교사에 비해 10년 이상의 경력을 가진 교사들이 높은 수준을 나타냈다. 둘째, 교수ㆍ학습 실행에 있어서도 설문에 응답한 교사들은 전반적으로 높은 수준을 나타냈다. 다만, 교사-학생/ 학생-학생 간 상호작용과 질문에 있어서는 대도시2가, 내용에 적합한 학습 과제와 활동, 학습 주제에 적합한 교수법 활용에 있어서는 학업성취도 상 집단이, 그리고 평가에 있어서는 대도시1이 타 집단에 비해 유의하게 높은 것으로 드러났다. 한편, 학습참여 독려에 있어서는 읍면지역 집단이 상대적으로 유의하게 낮은 것으로 밝혀졌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of teachers’ traits and instruction-learning implementation perceived by teachers in elementary schools. The survey was the method and the subjects were selected in the basis of the National School Achievement Test result. The 177 teachers were selected from the highest 5th level and the lowest 5th level elementary schools. The result of this study is as follows; Firstly, most of the respondents are in the higher level of the teachers’ traits. However, in terms of teacher’s expectations to students, teachers in suburban districts show a lower level of expectation than the other district groups. And teachers with over 10 years of experience show higher level of expectation than the other teachers, in terms of understanding development and learning of the students’. Secondly, most of the respondents are in the higher level of instruction and learning implementation. Especially, in terms of teacher-student/ student-student interaction, teachers in metropolitan city 2 shows a higher level of interaction than the other district groups. And in terms of learning tasks and activities customized to contents and teaching methods for learning themes, teachers of the schools with high achievement shows higher level than low achievement groups. In terms of evaluation, teachers in metropolitan city 1 show higher level than other district groups. However, teachers in suburban district have significantly lower level in terms of encouraging engagement compared with the other district groups.
