국문 초록

이 연구는 한센병력인이 지각하고 있는 낙인감과 사회적 회피 및 불안의 정도를 알아보고, 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 파악하여 한센병력인의 정신건강을 증진하기 위한 사회복지적인 개입방안을 모색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 한센병력인 198명을 대상으로 조사를 하였으며, 그 결과 연구대상자의 나이, 장애 정도, 가족의 수에 따른 사회적 회피 및 불안 정도에서 차이가 나타났고, 낙인감은 사회적 회피 및 불안에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 낙인감은 사회적 지지를 조절요인으로 하여 사회적 회피 및 불안에 간접적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 낙인감은 낮을수록 사회적 회피 및 불안은 낮아지고, 사회적 지지를 많이 받을수록 사회적 회피 및 불안에 대한 낙인감의 정적효과는 약해지는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이를 토대로 한센병력인의 낙인감과 사회적 회피 및 불안 정도를 감소하고 사회적 지지를 강화하기 위한 사회복지적인 개입방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to search for a social welfare intervention plan to promote the mental health of individuals with leprosy by examining the level of stigma and social avoidance & distress perceived by individuals with leprosy as well as by understanding the moderating effects of social support. Accordingly, a research survey was conducted with 198 individuals with leprosy. The result revealed differences in the level of social avoidance & distress according to the gender, age and level of disability of the participants. In addition, it was revealed that subjective health condition and stigma have direct effects on social avoidance & distress, and stigma revealed to have meaningful indirect effects on social avoidance & distress with social support as moderating factor. Namely, it can be seen that social avoidance & distress lowered by good subjective health condition and low stigma, and that the static effects of stigma on social avoidance & distress are eased upon receiving much social support. Based on this, a social welfare intervention plan was presented for reducing the level of stigma and social avoidance & distress of individuals with leprosy as well as for strengthing social support.
