조각에서 촉각의 의미와 교육적 함의

국문 초록

오늘날 시각문화에서 촉각은 제품의 생산에 중요한 요소로 작용하며 미술작품제작 측면에서는 작품의 형식과 내용을 결정하는 요소라는 점에서 본질적인 중요성을 가진다. 그러나 편향된 감각중심의 사회와 미술교육의 위축으로 인해 촉각교육을 통한 전인적 인간 육성에 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 촉각의 함축적인 의미를 살펴본 후 촉각과 밀접한 관계성을 가진 조각과의 연관성을 살펴보았다. 촉각은 인간의 감각 중 인체와 가장 광범위하게 연결되어 있으며 다른 감각을 통합시켜 줄 수 있는 촉매로서 역할을 한다. 특히 조각을 촉각예술이라고 할 만큼 촉각은 미술의 영역 중 조각과 밀접한 연관을 가진다. 조각은 촉각을 기준으로 단단한 조각과 부드러운 조각으로 분류 할 수 있는데 부드러운 조각은 관습적인 조각의 개념을 더욱 확장시키며 이는 현대사회의 특성을 반영한 것이다. 촉각을 포함한 감각 교육은 손을 통한 교육으로 실현될 수 있으며 이를 통해 아동의 균형 있는 성장과 창의적 사고를 기르는데 교육적 함의가 있다. 이는 지식중심 사회에서 미술교육의 정당성을 뒷받침해준다.

영문 초록

The tactile sense serves as an important element of production in visual culture and it is an essential element in terms of format and content of the work. However, there are many difficulties in holistic human development through tactile sense education due to a reduction in art education and cultural bias. So at first this research will seek the implicit meaning of the tactile sense and it will search the relationship between the tactile sense and sculpture that is closely related to the tactail sense. Of all human senses, the tactile sense is the most widely connected with the human body and it can act as a catalyst that integrates with other senses. In addition, the tactile sense is more closely associated with sculpture than other areas of art. Based on the tactile sense, sculpture can be divided into a solid type and a soft type. The soft type sculpture expands the typical concept of sculpture so it leads us to new experiences; it also reflects the characteristics of our society. There are educational implications in terms of a sensory education that includes the tactile sense. Children's creative thinking and intuition can be enhanced through the use of hands-on activities. This idea supports the justification of art education in our knowledgebased society.
