유치원에서 실천해 본 책읽기 활동과 부모의 책읽기 관련 활동에 대한 인식 변화

국문 초록

이 연구는 유아들이 좋은 책을 지속적으로 읽고 책 속에서 풍성한 기쁨을 느낄 수 있도록 도와주기 위하여 유치원에서 실시하고 있는 다양한책 읽기 활동의 실제 사례들을 소개하고, 아울러 유치원과 가정과의 연계를 통한 책읽기 관련 활동에 대한 부모의 인식 변화도 함께 알아보고자했다.유치원에서 실시한 실제 사례들을 소개하면 다음과 같다.첫째, 주제와 관련된 그림책을 이용하여 생활영역을 통합한 활동을 실시하였다. 둘째, 일과 중에 유치원 내의 도서관을 활용하여 책을 대여하도록 하였다. 셋째, 가정과 연계하여 그림책 돌려읽기 활동을 하여 날마다 책을 읽는 습관을 길러주도록 하였다. 넷째, 도서관을 유아, 부모, 지역 주민에게 개방하여 좋은 책을 자주 접할 수 있는 기회 뿐 아니라 자신의 관심과 흥미에 따라 책을 선택하는 능력을 기를 수 있도록 하였다.이와 같은 책읽기 활동에 따른 부모의 인식이 어떻게 변화되는가를 알아보았는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다.첫째, ‘그림책 돌려읽기’ 를 한 뒤 유아의 변화에 대한 어머니의 인식 을 살펴보면 전보다 글자, 그림에 더 많은 관심을 나타내고 어휘력이 향상되었다고 한다. 둘째, ‘그림책 돌려읽기’를 한 뒤 부모의 변화에 대한어머니의 인식을 살펴보면 날마다 책을 읽어주게 되었고, 부모 자신이 그림책을 좋아하게 되었다고 하였다. 셋째, ‘유치원 내 도서관’을 방문한 유아의 변화에 대한 어머니의 인식을 살펴보면 자신의 관심과 흥미에 따라책을 선택하는 능력이 생겼고, 책을 소중히 여기는 태도가 형성되었다고한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is not only to introduce various reading activities in order to help kindergarteners read beneficial books habitually with real enjoyment but also to acknowledge the changes in parent’s perspective from the reading activity of connecting the kindergarten with the family. The researcher presented the following activities that were practiced in kindergarten. The case studies implemented on the kindergarteners are as follows: First, the researcher developed picture books that are integrated with the living territory. Second, the children were advised to rent books from the kindergarten’s library as an everyday routine. Third, they were encouraged to develop a daily reading habit through an activity of exchanging books from one family to another. Fourth, the kindergarteners were not only provided with opportunities of reading beneficial books but also assisted to develop an ability to select a book depending on their interest. These are the results in the previous study of the changes of parent’s perspective in reading activities. The changes of parent’s perspective on reading activity are such as follows: First, mothers assumed that their children inclined to show more attention on letters and pictures with improvement in their vocabularies after ‘exchanging picture books.’ Second, mothers believed that they became not only more active on daily reading for their children but more fond of the picture books after ‘exchanging picture books.’ Third, mothers discovered improvement on ability of selecting books and had the tendency to consider books more important after ‘using the library.’
