북아트를 활용한 독서 교육 사례 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 아동들이 싫어하는 독서와 독후활동을 아동들과 재미있게 할 수 없을까하는 의문에서 시작했다. 아동들이 재미있게 책을 읽으면서 독후활동을 하고 자신의 생각이나 의견, 느낌을 자유롭게 자연스럽게 표현할 수 있는 방법을 찾고 싶었다. 초등학교의 아동들은 구체적인 조작활동을 선호한다. 정적인 활동보다는 동적인 활동이 아동들의 발달 단계 차원에서도 적합하다. 이러한 여러 가지를 고민하면서 선택된 방법이 북아트이다. 아동들이 흥미와 재미를 느끼며 활동할 수 있는 방법으로 북아트를 활용하고 거기에 의미 있는 독서의 결과를 도입하는 것이 이 연구의시작이다.다양한 북아트 활동을 하면서 아동들이 읽은 책을 정확하게 이해하고자기 감상을 나타낼 수 있도록하는 것이 북아트였다. 그 효과를 네 가지로 정리하여 보았다. 첫째, 내용 파악이며 둘째, 구성요소 파악이고 셋째, 책을 읽고 난 뒤의 감상이다. 마지막으로는 친구들과 함께 책을 읽고 난뒤의 느낌을 공유하는 것으로 나누어 정리하여 보았다.이에 본 연구자는 아동들이 직접 만들고 참여하고 활동하면서 독서의즐거움을 느끼고 읽은 책을 자기의 것으로 만들 수 있는 북아트를 연구한 것이다. 이 연구가 아동들이 책을 읽는 활동과 읽고 난 뒤의 활동이창의적이며 생산적인 활동이 되는 작은 첫걸음이 되었으면 한다.

영문 초록

This study began to ask how to encourage children to read a book. Children usually are not interested in reading and activities after reading a book. Therefore, some programs are proposed for children to be interested in reading and activities after reading so that children could express freely their opinion and feeling and also natural reaction after reading. Children in elementary school have a strong interest in detailed handicrafts. Therefore, dynamic activities are more appropriate for children than static movements from the developmental point of view. As the inevitable result of this investigation, book arts could be a positive suggestion to attract children's interest and activities including a meaningful value of reading. Book arts aim for children to understand correctly the book which they have read and to present what children think about a book. Four effects with the activities of book arts are as follows. there are understanding about the book, having some ideas from the book, impression after reading and lastly, sharing the opinion with their friends about the book. In conclusion, book arts is for children to make their own book and to experience delight in the reading in this paper. The activities of book arts induce children to be more creative and productive after their reading.
