“ Othello" 의 살인심리에 관한 연구

국문 초록

가정은 가족 구성원간의 친밀감과 사랑， 신뢰 속에 정서충족과 편안한 안식처로서의 사회적 삶의 밑바탕이 된다. 그러나 이러한 모습과 달리 사적인 공간인 가정에서 비인간적인 폭력， 그 중에서도 가장 극단적인 형태인 배우자 살인이 발생하기도 한다. 본 연구는 세익스피어의 희곡 ‘오델로’의 주인공 오델로가 자기 아내를 살해하게 된 심리적 동기가 무엇인지 분석해보고자 하였다 흑인이라는 인종적 한계를 극복하고 군인으로서 성공한 오델로가 백인남성들이 부러워할만한 당시 베니스 사회의 최고위층 ‘브라반시오’의 딸 ‘데스데모나’ 와 결혼까지 성공하였지만 ‘배우자 살해’라는 비극적 종말을 맞는다 이러한 비극적 결말에 이르게 된 주인공 오델로의 심리적 배후를 분석해 보면 다음과 같다 첫째， 오델로의 인종적， 문화적 콤플렉스를 들 수 있다 심리학적으로 콤플렉스는 사고， 감정， 기억， 충동과 관련된 복합체이다. 콤플렉스를 갖는 것은 정상적이다. 상당수의 콤플렉스는 의식에서 밀려나 억압되며， 자기 자신과 다른 사람 그리고 상황에 대해 잘못된 생각을 가지도록 하며 자기 자신을 평가하는데 있어 파괴적이다 오델로에게 있어서 자기가 흑인이라는 열등의식， 즉 무어 (Moor) 인으로서 인종적 콤플렉스와 베니스의 귀족사회와는 외관상 어울리지 못하는 문화적 콤플렉스를 극복하지 못한 것을 볼 수 있다 둘째， 오델로에게 발견되는 망상장애를 틀 수 있다. 망상은 흔히 ‘잘못된 신념’으로 정의된다. 오델로는 자기가 아내에게 준 딸기 손수건이 ‘카시오’에게 있는 것을 보고 아내의 성적 부정을 확산한다 이런 질투망상에 사로잡혀 극단적인 폭력인 살인행위를 저지른다. 마지막으로 군인으로서 전장을 누비며 다져진 오델로의 성격적 특정 즉 확신이 서면 주저하지 않고 바로 행동하는 단순성이 그의 비극의 원인이 되었다고 볼 수 있다. 결국 오델로를 통해 얻을 수 있는 교훈은 인간의 무의식 세계에 잠재해 있는 콤플렉스가 어떤 외부적 요인과 결합하여 제어되지 않 고 망상으로 발전해 갈 때 극단적 인 폭력 행동인 살인까지 가져 올 수 있다는 점이다.

영문 초록

Family with feeling of closeness between family member love, is groundwork of social life as emotion sufficiency and tranquil place to rest in trust. But, spouse killings that is inhuman brute fore at home is space that is personal unlike this image, and the most excessive form among them occurs. This study wished to analyze what psychological motive which hero Othello of Shakespeare’ s drama ‘Othello’ kills own wife is. Othello who overcomes racial limit for black and succeeds as warrior that white men are worth although succeeded to marriage coming daughter ‘Desdemona’ of Venezia social highest rank class ‘Brabanzio’ at that time tragic close ‘Kill spouse' fit. Is as following if analyze psychological back of hero Othello who is arrived on this catastrophe. First, can feel racial, cultural complex of Othello. Psychologially complex think, appraise, remember, it is complex related to instigation. It is normal to have complex. Many complex is destructive, oppressed because is pushed out in solemnity, brings number one and other people and ideas which is wrong about situation and evaluates oneself. Own can see that do not overcome racial complex and cultural complex which do not join externally with Venice' s aristocracy as inferiority complex, that is, moore person named black for Othello. Second, can cite delusional disorder discovered to Othello. Delusion is often defined as ’false beliefs'. For Othello, strawberry handkerchief that give to wife sees that ‘Casio’ has. And he is sure that wife acted with prostitute. Commit murder action that is possessed by this jealousy delusion and is excessive brute fore. Third, as soldier, threadsed full length and hardens Othello' s personality was responsible for his tragedy. That is, his unsophisticated personality which confidence does not hesitates and acts urgently letter was connected by murder conduct Finally, instruction that can get through Othello is that can bring murder is excessive violence action when complex which latent in human’ s the unconscious world grows by delusion without being controlled in conjunction with some external factor‘
