초등학생 비행에 자아 존중감과 부모의 양육행위의 차별적 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 자아존중감， 부모의 양육행위， 그리고 비행의 관계에 있어 초등학생들의 성별에 따라 그 차이가 존재하는지를 파악하고자 하는 것이다 구체적으로 살펴보자연， 10 대 초반 초등학생의 비행행위에 부모의 양육행위와 자아존중감이 어떠한 영향을 미치며 이러한 영향이 성별의 따라 차이를 보이는지 살펴보는 것이다 연구 수행을 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 수집한 청소년패널데이터 초등학교 4 학년 자료 1 년차에서 3 년차 자료를 사용하였다， 연구 의 결과 부모의 양육행위 자아존중감 그리고 비행은 10 대 초반 초등학생의 성별에 따라 차이를 나타내었다. 남성 초등학생들은 여성초등학생들에 비하여 부모에 대한 애착과 부모의 감독이 낮다고 인식하였으며 부모의 불화와 가정 내에서의 학대 경험이 많은 것으로 나타났다 자아존중감에 대하여는 긍정적 자아존중감에서 남녀 간의 차이는 없었으나 남성 초등학생들이 부정적인 자아관을 보다 더 나타내었다， 비행행위에 있어서는 약물사용을 제외하고 남성 초등학생 들이 여성 초등학생들에 비하여 학교비행， 학교폭력， 그리고 폭력재산비행에 보다 더 가담하는 것으로 나타났다 부모의 양육행위와 자아존중감이 비행에 미치는 영향을 예측한 다중회귀분석의 결과 부모의 불화 및 부모학대 그리고 부정적 자아존중감이 청소년의 비행을 증가시키는 요인으로 나타났다 하지만 이러한 결과는 남성 초등학생의 경우에서 보다 더 설명 력이 높았으나 여성 초등학생의 경우 학교비행과 약물사용에서는 유의미한 영향력을 나타내지 못하였다.

영문 초록

The primary purpose of this study is to examine the differences in self-esteem, parenting behaviors, and delinquency across element school students' gender. Specifically, this study focused on the effects of parenting behaviors and self-esteem on delinquency across gender. To accomplish the goals, this study used the 1st year to 3rd year data in Korean Panel Youth Survey subjected to 4th grade element school students collected by National Youth Policy Institute. The result revealed that there are gender differences in parenting behaviors, self-esteem, and delinquency. Male elemental students are less likely to perceive parental attachment and supervision and more likely to witness parental conflicts and to experience child abuse rather than female students. In the level of self-esteem, both gender does not have any differences in positive self-esteem, but in negative self-esteem male students are more likely to have higher scores than the females. Exception of substance use, male students are more likely to commit school deviance, school violence, violence, robbery and theft. In the results of multiple regression models in order to examine the effect of parenting behaviors and self-esteem on delinquency, “ parental conflicts and child abuse" and “ negative self-esteem" consistently show increasing effects on delinquency. However, these results only replicated in the models of male students, while in the models of the females “parental conflicts and child abuse" and “negative self-esteem" failed to explain substance use and school delinquency.
