국문 초록

개별 가족 공동체는 그 구성과 기능면에서 다양한 패턴을 보이는 것이 사실이다. 이 논문은 이와 같은 체코가족의 개별적 특수성을 연구하기 보다는, 특히 지난 50년간 체코의 가족사회가 보여온 희망이나 요구 그리고 어떤 의무성을 규정하고자 한다. 본 연구는 남성과 여성이 가지는 현재의 각각의 지위뿐만 아니라, 잠재적인 변화를 결정할 수 있는 정치적, 문화적 그리고 사회적 메커니즘에서 기인하고 있는 광범위한 현안들을 논하고자 한다. 본 논문은 동시에 남녀 불평등에 대한 사회이론(예, 가부장제의 조건이론)을 배경으로 하고 있으며 정보와 지식의 제공이라는 차원에서 보면 교육적 성격 역시 지니고 있다. 게다가 유럽의 다른 국가들에 있어서의 어떤 비교할 만한 동향에 대한 분석도 이루어지 고 있는 것이 특징이다. 결론부에서는 “성차별은 하나의 조직원리로서 체코의 공공, 노동 그리고 가족생활 전반에 걸쳐 나타나고 있다”라는 중요한 사실을 밝히고 있다.

영문 초록

Despite the diversity in the patterns of family formation and function, the essay tries to define the common aspiration, needs and obligations of the Czech families, especially in the last 50 years. The study focuses not only on the respective current position of men and women, but also on attempts to cover a wide spectrum of issues arising from the longterm influence of political, cultural, and social mechanisms that determine potential changes. The study is informative, at the same time, based on the social theories of gender inequalities, e.g., the theory about patriarchal conditioning. The analysis of comparable trends in European countries is also given due significance. The text of study is organized into separate chapters followed by a final summary of the most important findings. The conclusion shows that gender differences permeate as an organizing principle most spheres of the public, labor and family life of Czech society.
