Febrile Seizure가 선행된 간질환아의 임상적 고찰

영문 초록

Febrile seizure is defined a seizure arised with rising both temperatura, without any evidence which may cause seizure such a CNS infection. The most of febrile seizures are self limited but small mumber of them develop various types of epilepsy later. Oftenly physician does not pay attension to long term outcome of febrile seizure. To clarify the incidence, type of seizure and outcome of epilepsies preceded by febrile seizure and factors contributing to develop later epilepsies, we analized medical records of epileptic patients retrospectively. 51 cases out of 152 epileptic cases had a history of preceded febrile seizure and male was dominantly and frequently affected by epilepsy. The mean age of febrile seizure was 2.3±1.6year, and the mean age of developing afebrile seizure proceded by febrile seizure was 4.4±2.9year, while in the control group, the mean age of onset of seizure was 5.9±4.3year. The types of epilepsies preceded by febrile seizure were as following: complex partial seizure was 22%(11 cases), generalized tonic clonic seizure 20%(10cases), and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome 15%(8 cases). Un another hand, the control group had generalized tonic clonic seizure was 28%(29 cases), complex partial seizure 19%(19 cases) and partial seizure with secondary generalized epilepsy was 14%(14 cases). There was no statistically significant difference between two groups but Lennox-Castaut syndrome was common in the group which preceded by febrile seizure. As there are reports insisting that epilepsy preceded by febrile selzure has tendency to develop refractory seizures, more large group investigation is required to clarify this particular problem as well as longer period analysis.
