물류센터의 부가가치활동에 대한 고찰 및 사례

국문 초록

  본 연구는 최근 물류활동에 있어서 중요하게 대두되고 있는 물류센터의 기능 및 역할의 변화와 부가가치 창출의 의미에 대하여 이론적으로 고찰하고 사례를 통해 설명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 국내외 문헌 조사를 통해 물류센터의 부가가치 활동에 대한 연구 의미를 제시하고, 새롭게 부각되고 있는 물류센터의 역할을 조명하고자 한다. 둘째, 물류센터의 부가가치 활동이 공급망 상에서 어떤 의미가 있는지를 가치 곡선(Value Curve)을 통해 제시하였다. 마지막으로 국내 물류센터의 부가가치 활동 사례를 통해 부가가치 활동은 화주나 본사의 전략에 따라서 다양하게 수행되고, 부가가치 활동은 전체 공급망에서 수행되고 있는 활동들이 공급망 전략에 따라 물류센터로 전이됨을 설명할 수 있었다.
  본 연구는 국내외 물류센터의 부가가치 활동을 총체적으로 정리한 연구이며, 향후 부가가치 활동에 대한 정량적 연구를 위한 선행적인 연구일 것이다.

영문 초록

  This study theoretically investigates the changes in both functions and roles of distribution center and the practical meanings in the context of creating the value-added logistics, which recently receive focused emphases, and explains their operational effects by analyzing the real implementation cases. First, throughout the literature review, we show the validity of the study exploring the value-added activities in a distribution center and emphasize on the newly highlighted functions embedded in it. Secondly, we explain the transition pattern of logistical value by devising the concept of "value curve". Finally, from the analysis of real cases, we investigate that the role of distribution center is being re-aligned with other supply chain processes according to the direction of corporate"s supply chain strategy to accommodate the dynamic business requirement with a minimized operating cost. We expect that this study provides a challengeable viewpoint in establishing the concept of "value-added logistics" and triggers more practical research entailing the detailed quantitative analysis.
