국문 초록

  한국사회경제학회는 학술 단체 협의회 소속의 다른 진보 학술 단체들과 더불어, 80년 5월 광주 항쟁과 87년 6월 민주항쟁, 그리고 7-8월 노동자 대파업으로 상징되는 한 시대의 산물로서 창립되었다. 우리 학회는 창립이후 20년 동안 꾸준한 연구 발표, 학술 교류 그리고 대외 연대 활동 등을 통해 명실 상부하게 한국 진보 경제학계의 중심적 위치에 있는, 대중적 학술 공동체로서 확고히 뿌리를 내렸다. 그러나 지난 날의 성과와 한계를 같이 살피는 비판적 성찰이 필요하다. 진일보한 진보 경제학회로 거듭나기 위한 준비를 해야 한다.
  첫째, 한국의 현실과 역사에 뿌리 내린 깊이 있는 실증 연구들이 축적되어야 한다. 그러면서 한국 진보 경제학의 독자적 주체화 길로 나아가야 한다. 둘째, 전체 한국 경제학계 속에서 진보 경제학의 발언권을 높여야 한다. 세째, 진보 경제학에 부여되는 사회적 책임의 몫을 다해야 한다. 넷째, 서로 건설적으로 비판함과 동시에, 연구자로서 인정하고 아끼는 풍토가 진작되어야 한다. 다섯째, 학문 후속세대의 재생산 과제를 진지하게 고민하고 대책을 마련해야 한다.

영문 초록

  Korea Social and Economic Studies Association (KSESA) was established during the transition period at which democratic movement, represented by the Kwangju Uprising and June Resistence , was fighting against dictatorial regime. For 20 years after establishment, KSESA was making constant efforts in the fields of the research and publication, academic interchange, and solidarity actitivities and seemed to have settled down and found his central place within the acadamic world of Korean progressive economics. From now on KSESA has the following tasks for further development :
  Firstly, It is necessary to accmulate deep empirical and theoretial studies on the reality and history of korean economy so that it will have Korean schools of progressive economics of its own. Secondly, it should have its voice to increase within the korean academy of ecnomics as a whole. Thirdly, it should fulfill the demand of social responsibility for progressive ecnomics Fourthly, it needs to foster the academic culture to criticize productively and encourge each other. And it should to work out the ways to overcome the difficult situation of discontinuity of future academic generation.
