  〈Jukryeong Dajagu Narrative〉 is a myth of a village, Yongbuwon-ri, Daegang-myeon, Danyang-gun, Northern Chungchung Province. It is a story of a granny named Dajagu who wiped out a group of thieves with her unbelievable wisdom and courage, when people lived in Jukryeong of Mt. Sobaek was suffering from their evildoing.
  〈Onyeosan Narrative〉 is a story of geographical origin of Onyeosan Hill-fort located in Huanrenxian, Benxi, Liaoning, which was a land belonged to ancient Goguryeo. It is about five girls with excellent martial arts who bravely fought against intruders torturing people until died.
  These narratives commonness that women show wisdom and courage in crisis, and they originated from Jukryeong that is the borderland of Goguryeo and Baekje, and from Huanrenxian belonged to ancient Goguryeo.
  This study aimed at examining the similarity and originality of 〈Jukryeong Dajagu Narrative〉 and 〈Onyeosan Narrative〉, and how the ideology, emotion, practices, and a view of the world of a transmission group reflect on narratives.
  The similarity of 〈Jukryeong Dajagu Narrative〉 and 〈Onyeosan Narrative〉 is to have a common motif with rugged mountain range inthe background, to develop stories in an opposing relations between thieves and the government troops, natives and intruders, and that brave and wise women save people from imminent danger. It reflected people"s heartiest wish to rely on the absolute power to be alive and to keep peace in the mountains, and came out as a goddess and heroin symbolizing eternity.
  The originality of 〈Jukryeong Dajagu Narrative〉 and 〈Onyeosan Narrative〉 can be seen in the method to settle down opposing relations, the link to the other historical occurrence, and the change of one"s values. 〈Jukryeong Dajagu Narrative〉 solves antagonistic relationship with a motif of ‘Dajagu Deojagu’. Besides, this motif is often handed down connected to the other historical happening. It might be considered to reflect group consciousness to believe in miraculous virtue of a mountain god protecting people. While in 〈Onyeosan Narrative〉 five women with excellent martial arts settle antagonistic relationship directly. It reflects group consciousness to long for a brave and valiant spirit of Goguryeo people, but regarding opposing relations, as it created Balhae troops that were descendents from Goguryeo as a foreign invader, it resulted in weak historic consciousness of Chosun tribe, and being assimilated in an ideology of Hantribe or a savage tribe.
  Like the above-stated findings, this study proved significant in finding out reflection of group consciousness to rely on a goddess with an absolute power, as 〈Jukryeong Dajagu Narrative〉 and 〈Onyeosan Narrative〉 created with rugged mountains in the background, although 〈Onyeosan Narrative〉reflected group consciousness to long for a temperament of strong Goguryeo people, as being handed down centering around Chosun tribe in the land of ancient Goguryeo, it resulted in weak historic consciousness of Chosun tribe, and being assimilated in an ideology of Han tribe or a savage tribe.
