비선형 다층 다분 문항반응모형의 모수 추정 양호도 분석

국문 초록

문항이 피검자에 내재되는 다층구조를 반영하는 문항 반응모형인 비선형 다층모형에서 다분 문항 분석을 위한 2수준 다분 모형이 새로이 제시되었다. 본 연구에서는 가상자료를 활용하여 문항 수와 피검자 수를 달리한 반복 연구를 통해 2수준 다분 모형에서 모수 추정의 양호도를 분석해 보므로 그 활용가능성을 증대시키고자 하였다. 또한 문항 수와 피검자수를 중심으로 모수 추정의 정확성을 높이기 위한 양호도 조건을 탐색하였다. 문항 수는 10문항, 20문항의 2조건을 사용하였으며, 피검자 수는 250명, 500명, 1000명의 3조건을 사용하여 전체 여섯 가지 조건에서 분석이 이루어졌다. 검사 문항난이도 모수와 피검자 능력 모수 추정의 양호도는 가상자료의 반복연구 결과 얻은 모수와 모수 추정치간의 상관의 평균과 상관의 표준편차, 그리고 모수 추정치의 오차제곱평균제곱근(RMSE)의 평균에 근거하여 분석 하였다. 분석결과 문항 수와 피검자 수를 달리한 반복연구에서 문항난이도 모수와 피검자 능력모수 추정이 안정적으로 이루어졌다. 20회의 반복추정 결과의 평균으로 제시된 난이도 모수와 모수 추정치간의 상관은 모든 조건에서 .95를 상회하고, 상관의 표준편차도 .02보다 작았다. 피검자 능력모수 추정에서도 10문항에서는 모수와 추정치간의 상관이 .85, 20문항에서는 .91을 상회하고 상관의 표준편차도 .01보다 작아 능력모수 추정이 안정적으로 이루어졌다. 문항 수와 피검자 수를 중심으로 다분 문항에서 모수 추정의 양호도를 분석해 보면, 첫째, 문항 난이도 모수는 피검자 수에 영향을 받으며, 피검자 수가 많을수록 추정이 더 정확하였다. 특히 피검자 수가 250명에서 500명으로 증가할 때가 난이도 추정의 정확성이 높아지는 정도가 두드러졌다. 둘째, 피검자 능력모수는 문항 수가 많아질수록 모수 추정이 정확하게 되는 것으로 나타났으며, 피검자 수의 영향력은 미미하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is twofold. First, this study is intended to demonstrate parameter recovery for the two-level hierarchical nonlinear polytomous model developed to analyze polytomous items using simulation study. Second, this study explores the role of the number of items and examinees to increase the technical quality of parameter estimation for the suggested model. The variables of interest in this study are the number of items (k=10 and k=20) and sample size (n=250, n=500, and n=1000). These two variables produce 2 X 3= 6 conditions to investigate. The mean correlation coefficient between estimated and true item- and person-parameter values across replication is computed. Also, the standard deviation of the correlations and root mean squared error(RMSE) between estimated and true parameter values across replications are computed. The means of correlation coefficients between true and estimated item difficulties are consistently high, over .95 and the standard deviations of the correlations are small. These results show that the item parameter values are able to be reproduced very well across all conditions. Also, the means of correlation coefficients between true and estimated person parameter are consistent and the standard deviations of the correlations are very small in all conditions. The results of exploring the role of the number of items and examinees are as follows; First, higher correlation coefficient values between true and estimated item parameters are observed when there are more examinees. Especially, the correlation coefficient values are higher when the number of examinees is increased from 250 to 500. Second, the higher correlation coefficient values between true and estimated person parameters are observed when there are more items. When k=10, the mean correlation coefficient vaules are around .81, and k=20, the values are around .91. On the other hand, the number of examinees does not seem to affect the values.
