영화 <기생충>의 중국어 자막에 나타난 문화소 번역 양상 연구 - 대만 버전의 번체자 자막을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 영화 <기생충>의 한국어 자막에 나타난 문화소를 중국어로 번역할 때 중국어권 관객의 이해도를 높이기 위해서 사용되는 번역 전략을 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 검토하기 위하여 본고에서는 우선 <기생충>의 한국어와 중국어 자막을 수집하여 문화소를 추출하여 분석하였다. 한국어 자막에 나타난 문화소를 크게 어휘적 특징 및 통사적 특징으로 분류하여 살펴보았다. 어휘적 특징을 나타나는 문화소에서는 고유명사, 외래어, 한자어, 축약어로 나타났으며, 통사적 특징을 나타나는 문화소에서는 대우법 범주에 해당되는 호칭어, 선어말어미 ‘-시-’, 그리고 유사 문법에 해당되는 ‘안/못’ 등으로 나타났다. 목표 언어권의 언어적·문화적 특징을 잘 이해해야 의미 전달을 제대로 수행할 수 있다. 본고는 문화소의 개념을 입각하여 영화 자막의 번역 양상을 살펴보는 것은 두 나라의 언어적·문화적 차이를 이해하여 양국의 문화적 교류를 원활하게 수행하는 데에 중요한 역할을 갖는다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the translation strategies used to enhance the understanding of Chinese-speaking audiences when translating the cultural elements shown in the Korean subtitles of the movie into Chinese. In order to review this, in this paper, Korean and Chinese subtitles of were first collected, and cultural elements were extracted and analyzed. The cultural elements shown in Korean subtitles were largely classified into lexical characteristics and syntactic characteristics. In cultural elements that show lexical characteristics, they appeared as native Korean word(goyueo), loanwords(oeraeeo), Sino-Korean words(hanja'eo), and abbreviations. In cultural elements that show syntactic characteristics, they appeared as ‘a form of address’ that falls under the category of Honorifics, prepositional suffix ‘-si-’, and and the '안/못' corresponding to similar grammar. To properly convey meaning, it is necessary to understand the linguistic and cultural characteristics of the target language. In this paper, examining the translation pattern of movie subtitles based on the concept of a cultural center plays an important role in understanding the linguistic and cultural differences between the two countries and facilitating cultural exchanges between the two countries.
