국문 초록

목적: 본 고찰 연구는 수중 프로그램이 발달장애 아동에게 미치는 긍정적인 영향을 탐구하였다. 연구방법: 연구 방법으로 체계적이며 정량적인 접근 대신, 수중 프로그램의 영향에 대한 이해의 기여 정도 그리고 해당 분야에 내 다양한 관점을 대표하는 연구를 선택하기 위해 저자의 의도에 따라 연구 결과를 요약하고 논의하는 질적 내러티브 고찰 방법을 활용하였다. 연구결과: 발달장애 아동에게 수중 프로그램은 운동 기술 향상뿐만 아니라 인지 기능과 행동의 개선, 사회적 상호작용 능력의 증진에 기여하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 발달장애 아동들은 수중 프로그램을 통해 새로운 사회적 기술을 습득하고, 보다 나은 사회적 관계를 형성하는 능력을 발전시킬 수 있는 측면을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 수중 프로그램의 효과를 극대화하기 위해서는 개별 아동에게 맞춤형 접근이 요구되며, 프로그램의 지속 가능성과 장기적인 효과를 검증하기 위한 추가 연구를 지속해야 할 것이다. 결론: 본 연구는 수중 프로그램이 발달장애 아동의 치료와 재활 과정에서 중요한 중재 역할을 할 수 있음을 강조하며, 중재를 효과적으로 활용하기 위한 향후 연구 방향과 실천을 제언한다. 수중 프로그램의 활성화는 발달장애 아동들이 보다 나은 삶을 영위하고, 사회 속에서 더욱 풍부한 경험을 할 수 있도록 돕는 데 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

Pupose: This review study explored the positive effects of aquatic programs on children with developmental disabilities. Methods: Instead of a systematic and quantitative approach, this study employed a qualitative narrative review method, summarizing and discussing research findings. Results: The study confirmed that aquatic programs not only improve motor skills in children with developmental disabilities but also contribute to the enhancement of cognitive functions, behavior, and social interaction skills. Additionally, it was found that children with developmental disabilities can acquire new social skills and develop the ability to form better social relationships through aquatic programs. To maximize the effects of such programs, a tailored approach for each child is required, and further research is needed to validate the sustainability and long-term effects of these programs. Conclusion: This study emphasizes that aquatic programs can play a significant role as an intervention in the treatment and rehabilitation process of children with developmental disabilities. It also suggests future research directions and practices for effectively utilizing this intervention. Promoting aquatic programs will contribute to helping children with developmental disabilities lead better lives and have richer experiences within society.
