장애인의 장애수용에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 종단적 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 장애인이 장애를 자신의 가치 있는 일부로 받아들이고, 자신의 장점과 능력을 활용할 수 있도록 지원하기 위하여 장애수용 진입에 영향을 미치는 요인을 동태적으로 분석하였다. 연구방법: 장애인삶 패널조사 1차부터 3차까지의 조사자료를 결합하고, 생존분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구에서 나타난 주요결과를 살펴보면 읍면이 대도시보다, 외부신체기능의 장애가 내부기관의 장애보다, 일상생활 제한 정도가 낮을수록, 정서적 지지와 도움을 많이 받을수록, 가족건강성이 낮을수록, 삶의 만족도가 높을수록 장애수용으로 진입할 가능성이 높았다. 제언: 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 장애인으로서 자아정체감 및 자기인식을 지원하고, 장애인과 비장애인 간 상호교류 및 지지체계를 구축하며, 장애인이 욕구를 스스로 정의하고 결정할 수 있는 권리(인권)에 기반하여 정상적인 삶에 참여할 수 있도록 기회를 확대하고, 삶의 만족을 누릴 수 있도록 지원할 필요가 있음을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to help people with disabilities accept their disabilities as a valuable part of themselves and utilize their advantages and abilities by analyzing factors influencing their entry into the disability acceptance stage dynamically. To this end, data from the first to third studies of the Disability and Life Dynamics Panel were combined, and analyzed by using survival analysis. The analysis results show that people with disabilities who lived in an eup or myeon and had a disability with an external physical function had a higher possibility of entering disability acceptance than those who lived in a big city and had a disability with an internal organ, respectively. The possibilities increased according to the lower restriction of daily life, more emotional support and assistance, lower family strength, and higher life satisfaction. Based on these findings, the study proposed a need to help people with disabilities form an ego-identity and self-awareness, establish a mutual exchange and support system with people with no disabilities, expand their chances to participate in a normal life based on their rights(human rights) to define and decide their needs for themselves, and enjoy satisfaction with their lives.
