장애대학생의 교육적 지원 관련 경험과 인식 사례연구: A대학교를 중심으로

국문 초록

연구 목적: 장애학생의 고등교육 진학률이 크게 높아짐에 따라 통합교육 맥락에서 교육지원의 질적 수준을 제고할 필요성이 있다. 연구 방법: 본 연구는 장애대학생의 학과전공 및 학습을 위한 교육지원의 현황과 요구 및 개선방안을 알아보고자 장애대학생 5명을 대상으로 개별심층면담을 실시하였으며 전사 자료를 지속적 비교분석법에 근거하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과: 연구를 위한 면담대상자는 청각장애, 시각장애, 지체장애, 지적장애, 중복장애(지적장애와 지체장애)로 면담결과는 3개의 영역 즉, 교육권 인식, 교육지원 실제 그리고 자연적 지원으로서 가족으로 나누고 6개의 대주제와 11개의 하위주제를 각각 도출하였다. 대주제와 하위주제는 1) 권리로서 교육 현실: 법적 권리와 대학 내 현실(규정 및 지침) 괴리, 장애유형에 따른 권리 인식 차이, 장애학생의 교육권에 대한 바람과 의견 2) 전공 선택의 안내와 준비 필요: 대학입학 전 충분한 정보 및 안내 부족, 학업을 위한 학습전략 및 기술 부족 3) 전반적으로 세심함이 필요한 교수자의 교육지원: 교수자의 교육지원 미흡 4) 장애학생지원센터 역할과 기능 정립: 교수자와의 협력과 연수, 지원인력 관리와 교육, 관련 타 기관과의 연계 협력 중요 5) 장애학생의 교육지원에 대한 인식과 비장애학생과 소통: 장애영역 간 교육지원 비교, 비장애학생과 교육활동 소통의 어려움 6) 여전히 중요한 가족의 기능 및 역할로 정리할 수 있다. 논의 및 시사점: 위 결과 내용을 바탕으로 장애대학생을 위한 교육적 지원의 질적인 개선에 대해 논의 및 시사점과 제언을 전개하였다.

영문 초록

As the rate of students with disabilities going on to higher education has increased significantly, the demand for improving the quality of educational support is increasing in the context of college integrated education. This study conducted individual in-depth interviews with five college students with disabilities to find out the current status, needs, and improvement plans of educational support for their majors and learning, and analyzed the entire data based on continuous comparative analysis. The interviewees for the research were deaf, blind, physically handicapped, intellectually handicapped, and overlapping handicapped (intellectual handicapped and physically handicapped). were the subjects of the study, and the results of the interview were divided into three areas of educational rights recognition, educational support practice, and family as natural support. 1) The reality of education as a right: the gap between legal rights and the reality (regulations and guidelines) in universities, differences in perception of rights according to types of disabilities, wishes and opinions on the educational right of students with disabilities 2) Sufficient guidance and preparation for choosing a major: Before entering college Lack of sufficient information and guidance, lack of learning strategies and skills for academic study 3) Educational support for instructors who lack overall sensitivity 4) Establishment and improvement of the role and function of the Support Center for Students with Disabilities: Need for cooperation and training with instructors, management and education of support personnel 5) Awareness of educational support for students with disabilities and communication with non-disabled students: Comparison of educational support by disability area, difficulties in communicating with non-disabled students in educational activities 6) Still important function and role of family. Based on the above results, discussions were held on improving the quality of educational support for college students with disabilities.
