문화예술교육 참여가 아동의 자기효능감, 학교생활적응,자아회복탄력성에 미치는 영향 - GS리테일․기아대책 무지개상자 사업을 중심으로-

국문 초록

본 연구는 지역아동센터 문화예술교육인 GS리테일․기아대책이 18년간 진행한 ‘무지개상자’사업을 중심으로 사회통합의 가능성을 조명하고, 향후 발전방안을 모색하는 것에 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 전국 지역아동센터 중 ‘무지개상자’ 문화예술교육을 시행하고 있는 지역아동센터 23개소의 종사자와 아동을 대상으로, 설문을 진행하여 회수된 197개의 응답으로 양적연구를 수행하였다. 분석결과는 첫째, 아동이 평가하는 자기효능감이 종사자가 평가하는 아동의 자기효능감보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 아동이 평가하는 학교생활적응이 종사자가 평가하는 학교생활적응 보다 더 긍정적으로 나타났다. 셋째, 무지개상자 참여시간(1회당 교육시간)이 길수록 아동이 지각하는 자기효능감과 자아회복탄력성이 높아졌다. 넷째, 아동 본인의 희망에 의한 참여가 아동의 자기효능감과 자아회복탄력성을 높여주었다. 다섯째, 종사자는 온라인 교육이 아동의 자기효능감, 학교생활적응, 자아회복탄력성을 높이는 것으로 보았으나, 아동은 참여방법을 중요한 영향요인으로 보지 않았다. 이러한 결과를 통해 지역아동센터 문화예술교육이 지역아동센터 아동 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있으며, 저소득층 문화자본 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 실증적으로 밝혀내었다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의가 크다. 본 연구는 기업과 NGO가 협력하여 아동의 문화예술교육을 지속해 온 귀감이 될 만한 사례로, 이를 통해 향후 아동교육에서 문화예술교육의 중요성과 지속성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to shed light on the possibilities of social integration and to explore ways to develop it in the future, focusing on the ‘Rainbow Box’ project that GS Retail & KFHI, a cultural education program for local children’s centers, has been implementing for 18 years. To this end, a quantitative study was conducted with 197 responses from 23 local children’s centers nationwide that are implementing the ‘Rainbow Box’ cultural and artistic education program. The results of the analysis showed that, first, children’s self-efficacy was higher than workers’ self-efficacy; second, children’s adaptation to school life was more positive than workers’ adaptation to school life. Third, the longer the duration of Rainbow Box participation (training time per session), the higher the children’s perceived self-efficacy and self-recovery resilience. Fourth, children’s self-efficacy and self-resilience increased when they participated because they wanted to. Fifth, while workers believed that online education increased children’s self-efficacy, school adjustment, and self-resilience, children did not see the participation method as an important factor. The significance of this study is that it shows that cultural education in local children’s centers has a positive impact on the development of children in local children’s centers and empirically reveals the positive function of cultural capital. This study is an exemplary case where companies and NGOs have cooperated to sustain children’s cultural and artistic education, and it suggests the importance and continuity of cultural and artistic education in children’s education in the future.
