초등학교 교사가 인식하는 수어, 청각장애, 농정체성에 대한 관계 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 수어, 청각장애 인식, 농정체성의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 조사연구로 수행되었다. 경상북도 및 대구광역시 등에 근무하는 일반교사 664명의 설문지 결과를 분석하였다. 설문지는 기초 배경정보 7문항, 수어 11문항, 청각장애 5문항, 그리고 농정체성 9문항으로 구성하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 교사는 교직경력이 높을수록, 통합학급 지도경험이 많을수록, 최종학력이 높을수록, 청각장애학생이 포함된 통합학급을 지도한 경험이 있는 경우에 수어에 대한 인식이 높다. 둘째, 초등학교 교사는 교직경력이 높을수록, 통합학급 지도경험이 많을수록 청각장애에 대한 인식이 높다. 셋째, 초등학교 교사는 여성일 경우, 통합학급 지도경험이 많을수록, 최종학력이 높을수록 농정체성에 대한 인식이 높다. 넷째, 초등학교 교사의 수어에 대한 인식은 청각장애 및 농정체성 인식에 대하여 높은 상관관계를 보인다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 청각장애 및 농정체성을 구성하는 중요 요인에 수어가 존재하고 있음을 제안하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted as a research study to find out the relationship between sign language, perception of hearing impairment, and deaf identity in elementary school teachers. The questionnaire results of 664 general teachers working in elementary schools located in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu Metropolitan City were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of 7 questions for basic background information, 11 questions for sign language, 5 questions for hearing impairment, and 9 questions for deaf identity. The results of this study are as follows. First, the main background variables that statistically significantly affect elementary school teachers' sign language recognition were teaching experience, integrated class guidance experience, hearing-impaired student integrated class guidance experience, and final level of education. Second, the main background variables that statistically affect elementary school teachers' perception of hearing impairment were teaching experience and integrated class guidance experience. Third, the main background variables that statistically affect elementary school teachers' perception of their deaf identity were gender, integrated class instruction experience, and final lwvel of education. Fourth, elementary school teachers' perception of sign language showed a statistically significant correlation with perception of hearing impairment and deaf identity. This study suggests that sign language exists as an important factor constituting the deafness and deafness of elementary school teachers.
