국문 초록

흥미란 무엇인가, 미술에 흥미가 있다, 없다 할 때 그것은 어떤 차이를 의미하는가. 이 연구에서는 교육에서 흥미의 문제를 본격화한 듀이의 흥미 이론을 검토하고, 미술과 교육과정에서의 흥미의 위치를 살펴 유의미한 시사점을 논의하고자 하였다. 듀이의 흥미 이론을 토대로 흥미를 감정적 상태에서 추동하는 힘으로, 일시적인 것에서 발달하는 것으로, 수단에서 목적을 향해가는 활동으로 통합적 관점에서 재개념화하였다. 또한 미술과 교육과정에서 흥미의 변천을 살펴 교육과정에 나타난 흥미의 특징을 1) 모호한 의미로 반복된 흥미, 2) 수단으로서의 흥미, 3) 학습자 없는 흥미, 4) 사고와 상호작용 없는 흥미로 설명하였다. 이에 근거하여 흥미에 대한 인식 재고를 촉구함과 함께 미술과 교육과정을 위한 흥미의 이론화를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

What is interest, What difference does it mean when you are interested in art and or not? This study examined Dewey's theory of interest, which earnestly explored the problem of interest in education. We examined the place of interest in art and the curriculum to discuss its significant implications. Based on Dewey's theory of interest, interest was reconceptualized from an integrative perspective as a driving force in an emotional state, from the temporary to developing, from the means to the end.In addition, we examined the evolution of interest in art and curriculum and explained the characteristics of interest in the curriculum as 1) interest repeated in vague meanings, 2) interest as a means, 3) interest without learners, and 4) interest without thinking and interaction. Based on this, he urged a reconsideration of the perception of interest and proposed theorizing interest for art and curricula.
