국문 초록

본 연구는 디자인교육 활성화를 위해 2015 개정 중학교 미술교과서 내 디자인 영역을 분석하고 개선 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 디자인과 디자인 교육에 관한 이론적 내용을 고찰하여 디자인 분류체계를 재구성하였으며 중학교 미술교과서 분석과 현직 미술교사 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 분석대상은 2015 개정 중학교 미술교과서 14종이며 구성, 단원, 내용으로 분석 기준을 설정하여 통계분석과 사례분석을 진행하였다. 그리고 중학교 미술교사 10명을 대상으로 비대면 인터뷰를 진행하여 디자인교육 현황을 파악하였으며 연구결과를 종합하여 개선 방안을 제안하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해 2015 개정 중학교 미술교과서 내 디자인 영역은 오늘날 서비스･ 경험 영역까지 확장된 디자인의 개념이 반영되었으며 디자인교육이창의성, 문제해결 능력 뿐만 아니라 디지털 기초 소양 함양에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 학교 현장에서의 미술교과서 활용도를 높이기 위해 시각, 공간 등 디자인 분야별 반영 비율 조정과 디자인 단원 편성, 디자인 학습 활동 주제 및 방식의 다양화가 필요함을 파악하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the content of the Design area in middle school art textbooks under the Revised Curriculum of 2015 and search for its improvement measures for the revitalization of design education. For these purposes, the investigator reorganized the design classification system by examining the theoretical content of design and design education, analyzed middle school art textbooks, and conducted an interview with incumbent art teachers. Analyzed in the study were 14 different middle school art textbooks under the Revised Curriculum of 2015. Statistical and case analyses were carried out according to the criteria of composition, unit, and content. Then middle school art teachers participated in a non-contact interview to paint a picture of current design education. The results were put together to propose improvement measures. In short, the findings show that the Design area in the middle school art textbooks under the Revised Curriculum of 2015 reflected the expanded concept of design even to the domains of service and experiences today and that design education had positive effects on the cultivation of basic digital knowledge as well as creativity and problem-solving abilities. The findings raise a need to make the proportions of different design fields including visuals and spaces proper in an art textbook, add a design unit to an art textbook, and diversify the topics and methods of design learning activities so that the utilization rates of an art textbook can increase in schools.
