서울혁신자치중학교 학생의 역량 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 서울시교육청에서 지정한 혁신자치학교가 정책목표를 달성하고 있는지를 학생의 역량 분석을 통해서 확인하였다. 이를 위하여 혁신자치학교로 지정된 3개 중학교를 대상으로 2019 - 2021년에 측정한 학생역량에 대한 추세분석을 하고, 역량과 관계있는 변수를 알아보기 위하여 3차년도 데이터를 사용하여서 중다회귀분석을 하였다. 추세분석 결과 학생역량에서 지속적인 성장이 나타나지 않았다. 가장 큰 이유는 코로나 19의 확산으로 학교에서 계획한 교육과정과 교육활동이 제대로 이루어지지 못하였기 때문으로 판단된다. 그런데 자기관리, 지식정보처리, 창의적 사고역량에서 학생들이 펜데믹의 어려움을 극복하고 유의미한 회복력을 보여주었다. 중다회귀분석에서는 학생의 학교운영에의 참여가 역량과 긍정적인 관계를 보였다. 3년의 기간 동안 혁신자치학교 학생은 전체 역량에서 유의미한 감소를 보이지 않았으며 가정의 경제적 지원보다 정서적 지원과 온라인 학습지원이 유의하게 나타났다. 이는 코로나 19로 인하여 커지고 있는 학력 저하의 문제를 일정 수준 부모교육을 통한 가정의 학습지원과 정서지원과 학생들의 자치역량 함양을 통해서 극복 가능함을 의미한다. 따라서 혁신학교의 심화 발전을 위해서 학교자치에 중점을 두고 학생을 교육주체로 세우려는 정책 노력은 교육적 가치가 있다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed student competency to confirm whether the innovative self-governing school policy implemented by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education is achieving its policy goals. To this end, multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the variables related to student competency, along with the trend analysis of student competency measured from 2019 to 2021 for students in three innovative self-governing middle schools. There was no continuous growth. The biggest reason is that the curriculum and educational activities planned by the school were not properly carried out due to the spread of COVID-19. However, in the case of self-management, knowledge information processing, and creative thinking competencies, students overcame the difficulties of the Pendemic and showed significant resilience. In the multiple regression analysis, students' participation in school management showed a positive relationship with the overall competency. Meanwhile, there was no significant decrease in the overall competency over the three years under study, and emotional support and learning support of parents turned out significant as opposed to economic support. This means that the problem of decline in academic ability can be overcome through family learning support and emotional support through parent education, and students' autonomy capabilities emphasized by innovative autonomous schools. Therefore, for the further development of innovative schools, it is of educational value for policy efforts to establish students as educational subjects with an emphasis on school autonomy.
