대학원생의 사회적 지지 프로파일에 따른 학습몰입과 리라밸의 차이

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 지도교수 지지와 동료 지지, 경력 네트워크로 구성된 대학원생의 사회적 지지에 대한 잠재프로파일의 하위 집단을 탐색하고, 리라밸(Research-Life Balance)과 학습몰입을 종속변인으로 설정하여 집단 간 차이를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법: 수도권 소재 A 대학의 대학원생 488명으로부터 수집된 응답 자료를 활용하여 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시하였으며, 결과변인에 대해 Mplus의 BCH 방법을 이용하여 차이검증을 수행하였다. 연구결과: 연구 결과, 세 가지 프로파일 유형이 적합한 모델로 채택되었다. 도출된 프로파일은 대학원생이 인식한 사회적 지지의 수준에 따라 낮은 사회적 지지 인식형, 중간 사회적 지지 인식형, 높은 사회적 지지 인식형으로 명명하였다. 종속변인에 대한 집단 간 차이검증 결과, 학습몰입은 높은 사회적 지지 인식형과 중간 사회적 지지 인식형에서, 중간 사회적 지지 인식형과 낮은 사회적 지지 인식형에서 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 사회적 지지에 대한 인식이 높은 집단일수록 학습몰입이 높았다. 리라밸은 중간 사회적 지지 인식형과 높은 사회적 지지 인식형에서 유의한 차이를 보였으나, 집단 간 평균 차이는 크지 않았다. 논의 및 결론: 연구 결과를 바탕으로 대학원 교육에서 대학원생의 학습과 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 실천적 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to explore the latent sub-groups of graduate students’ social support measured by supervisor support, coworker support, and career network, and to examine the differences between research-life balance and learning engagement as distal outcomes across the latent sub-groups. Method: A Latent Profile Analysis was adopted to find the latent sub-groups using 488 graduate students’ responses in the A university of a metropolitan area. For the distal outcome variables, BCH in Mplus was used. Results: The results showed that the three-profile model was considered to be the best model. The latent profiles were characterized by the levels of perception of social support of graduate students: low-level, moderate, and high-level. In comparing the distal outcome, learning engagement was significantly different between the high-level and moderate-level social support profiles as well as the moderate and low-level social support profiles. It indicated that graduate students could engage in learning when they felt they had more social support. In addition, RLB (Research-Life Balance) significantly differed between the moderate and high levels of profiles. The magnitude of mean difference in RLB, however, was negligible. Conclusion: Based on the results, we suggested the practical implications for improving the quality of graduate students learning and life through graduate school’ policy.
