간호대학생의 시뮬레이션 수업 중 경험한 의료오류에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

이 연구는 간호대학생이 시뮬레이션 수업 중 경험한 의료오류 상황과 그들의 내면을 깊이 있게 이해하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 시뮬레이션 수업 중 의료오류를 경험했던 간호학과 재학 중인 학생 10명을 대상으로, 2022년 6월부터 7월까지 내러티브 탐구절차를 수행하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생들은 의료오류 경험 전반에 계산된 학습 노력과 성취가 연결되어 있으며, 지난 학습에 대한 방관자 태도와 학습동기와 실행 간의 모순으로 드러났다. 의료오류를 경험한 학생들은 ‘나도 모르게 한 실수’, ‘학습부족을 느낌’, ‘교수님과의 관계에 대한 우려’, ‘의료오류에도 격려어린 학우들’, ‘경험이 곧 학습의 끝’, ‘좌절감을 느낌’, ‘간호사 자질에 대한 불안감’, ‘내러티브 과정에 대한 만족감’으로 세부 내용들이 도출되었다. 연구결과 의료오류를 경험한 학생들은 부정적 감정으로 자신감을 잃어 미래에 대한 우려감이 크지만 구체적인 학습이나 대안에 대한 자구책을 가지고 있지 않았다. 하지만 참여자들은 내러티브 과정을 통해 학습 성찰을 이루고, 긍정적 학습 지향점을 설계할 수 있는 기회를 맞이하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 추후 간호대학생의 시뮬레이션 교육에 있어 학생의 특성에 맞게 팀을 구성하고, 단계별 프로그램 개발 및 디브리핑 피드백의 전략적 방안 수립에 관련된 연구가 후속되기를 제언하는 바이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to deeply understand the situation of medical errors experienced by nursing students during simulation classes and them. The narrative procedure was conducted from June to July 2022 for 10 students who experienced medical errors during the simulation class. As a result of the study, the medical error experience of nursing students was revealed as a paradoxical realization of the lethargic bystander attitude. Details were derived from students who experienced medical errors as 'mistakes made without realizing', 'feeling lack of learning', 'concerns about relationship with professors', 'experience is soon the end of learning', 'feeling frustrated', 'anxiety about nurse quality', and 'satisfaction with the narrative process'. Participants who experienced medical errors lost confidence due to negative emotions, so they had great concerns about the future. However, through the narrative process of recalling mistakes in detail, we had an opportunity to reflect on the simulation and design a positive learning orientation. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that research related to the development of a program that organizes a team according to the characteristics of students in simulation education of nursing students and the establishment of strategic plans for debriefing feedback will be followed.
