자활사업 참여주민의 사회적 경제 활동 참여 경험에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 자활사업 참여 주민들의 사회적 경제활동의 일환인 ‘주민협동회’ 참여 경험을 질적으로 탐색하였다. Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 활용하여 7명의 심층면담자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 자활사업 참여주민에게 주민협동회 참여 경험은, ‘이해와 자존’, ‘자율과 책임’, ‘연대와 협동’의 3개 범주로 나타났다. 즉, 자활사업 참여주민들은 주민협동회 참여를 통해 자신과 이웃에 대한 이해가 확장되고, 삶과 일의 주체로서 책임성을 가지기 위해 노력하며 공동체적 연대와 협동을 실천하면서 성장하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 자활사업에 참여할 당시의 사회적 배제 경험이 완화되고 사회적 자본을 획득해 나가는 과정으로, 자활사업 참여주민이 지역사회에서 참여할 수 있는 활동과 역할이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This qualitative study is designed to explore the experience of residents participating in the self-sufficiency project of the Residents’Cooperative Association seen as social economic activities. Giorgi's phenomenological research method was used to analyze the in-depth interview data for seven participants. The result of the participants’experiences was found in three categories : ‘understanding and self-esteem’, ‘autonomy and responsibility’, and ‘solidarity and cooperation’. It was confirmed that the participants had grown up by expanding their understanding of themselves and their neighbors, making efforts to take responsibility for their life and work as the main agent, and accomplishing community solidarity and cooperation. It is a process for them to mitigate their experience of social exclusion at the time of participating in the self-support project and to acquire social capital. This suggests the need for residents in self-sufficiency projects to participate in their local communities with roles and activities.
