노년기 재가 요양보호사의 환자 죽음 경험에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 노년기 재가 요양보호사의 환자 죽음 경험과 의미에 대하여 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 환자의 죽음을 경험한 노년기 재가 요양보호사 5명을 심층면접하고, 수집된 자료를 해석현상학적 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 4개의 주제와 14개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 4개의 주제는 ‘모든 죽음에서 느끼는 비탄’, ‘머무를 수 없는 슬픔, 哀’, ‘죽음 경험 이후 나를 수용하기’, ‘남은 나의 삶은 진행형’으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 노년기 재가 요양보호사가 직무 중에 겪게 되는 환자 죽음 경험과 그 체험의 심층적인 의미를 탐색함으로써 노년기 재가 요양보호사에 대한 이해를 돕고, 이들을 위한 전문적 심리조력 및 사회복지실천 개입 방안의 기초자료를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore and in-depth understanding of the patient death experiences of elderly in-home care caregivers. For this purpose, five in-home caregivers who were over 70 years of age and experienced the death of a patient within three years were interviewed and the collected data were analyzed by Interpretive Phenomenological Research Method. As a result of the study, 4 themes and 14 sub-themes were derived. The four themes were ‘Grief in all deaths’, ‘I can’t stay sad, ‘哀’, ‘Accommodating me after my death experience’, and ‘My remaining life is ongoing.’ The purpose of this study is to help elderly in-home care caregivers over 70 years old by exploring the experiences of patient death and the in-depth meaning of those experiences during their work to help them understand and practice professional psychological assistance and social welfare for those over 70 years of age. It is significant in that it presented the basic data for the intervention plan.
