국문 초록

매년 아동학대 사례가 증가하는 추세 속에서 아동학대 전담의료기관의 지정과 운영이 본격화되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 아동학대 전담의료기관 지정 이후 담당 의료사회복지사가 경험한 변화와 어려움을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 아동학대 전담의료기관에서 아동학대 업무를 수행하는 의료사회복지사 10명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 주제분석의 방법을 이용하여 분석한 결과, 5개의 상위주제와 관련한 14개의 하위 주제가 도출되었다. 아동학대 전담의료기관 지정 이후 연구 참여자들은 병원 내 아동보호 체계를 구축하였고, 학대피해아동을 위한 통합적인 서비스를 제공하였다. 이들은 담당자로서 아동학대 신고 및 대응의 과정에서 혼란과 심리적 어려움을 느꼈고, 병원 및 이해관계자와의 협력 과정에서 어려움을 겪었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 아동학대 전담의료기관 담당 의료사회복지사들의 어려움을 해소하기 위한 실천적 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

With the number of cases of child abuse increasing every year, the designation and operation of medical institutions dedicated to child abuse have emerged. This study explored the changes and challenges experienced by medical social workers in designated medical institutions for child abuse. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 medical social workers working at a designated medical institution for child abuse in Seoul. Thematic analysis yielded 14 subthemes related to 5 overarching themes. Participants established a child protection system in their hospital after the emergence of medical institutions for child abuse and provided integrated services for abused children. Participants reported confusion and psychological difficulties while dealing with the process of reporting and responding to child abuse, along with challenges in cooperating with hospitals and stakeholder groups. The study generated recommendations for addressing the challenges of medical social workers in designated medical institutions for child abuse.
