국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 미술 감상 영역과 과학 내용 지식을 연계한 미술․과학 융합교육프로그램이 초등학생의 정의적 영역에 미치는 교육적 효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를위해, 선행 연구 및 교육과정 분석 결과에 기초하여 8차시 분량의 미술․과학 융합교육 프로그램을 개발하였고, 이질통제집단 설계 방식에 따라 초등학교 6학년 학생들이 보인 정의적 영역에서의 변화를 t-검정을 통해 검증하였다. 또한, 실험반 학생 중일부와 집단 면담을 실행하여 미술․과학 융합교육 프로그램에 대한 학생들의 인식및 만족도를 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 미술･과학 융합교육 프로그램은 미술과 과학분야에 대한 흥미와 즐거움, 학습의 즐거움, 가치 인식의 측면에서 초등학생의 정의적 영역에 미치는 교육적 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 초등교육에서 미술과 과학을 연계한 교육을 활성화할 필요가 있음을 지지하는 실증적 사례로, 단일 교과 중심의 교육을 고수하기보다 교과 간 연계가 가능한 부분에서는 미술･과학 융합교육을 적극적으로 시행할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the educational effect of an art-science convergence education program linking the art appreciation and science content knowledge on the affective domain of elementary school students. To this end, an art-science convergence education program consisting of 8 lessons was developed based on the results of previous research and curriculum analysis, and changes in the affective domain of 6th graders of elementary school according to the nonequivalent control group design method were verified through t-test. In addition, group interviews were conducted with some of the students in the experimental class to investigate students’ perception and satisfaction with the art-science convergence education program. As a result of the study, it was found that the art-science convergence education program had a large educational effect on the affective domain of elementary school students in terms of interest and pleasure in art and science, enjoyment of learning, and value perception. These findings are an empirical case supporting the need to revitalize education linking art and science in elementary education, suggesting that art-science convergence education needs to be actively implemented in areas where inter-curricular linkage is possible rather than sticking to a single subject-centered education.
