제주 지역의 교사와 부모의 변인에 따른 유아 숲 체험프로그램의 인식과 만족도

국문 초록

본 연구는 제주지역의 유아 숲 체험 프로그램을 운영하는 기관 중심으로 교사와 부모의 변인에 따른 유아 숲 체험프로그램의 인식과 만족도를 살펴봄으로써 유아 숲 체험 프로그램 활성화를 위한 기초정보로 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교사 49명과 부모 269명 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 교사와 부모의 유아 숲 체험 프로그램의 인식은 전반적으로 비슷한 것으로 나타났으나, 숲 체험 시기와 숲 체험 공간 결정 시 우선순위에 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 교사와 부모의 변인에 따라 유아 숲 체험 프로그램의 인식 차이를 살펴본 결과, 교사는 연령, 경력, 학력, 학급 연령, 학급원아 수, 연수 이수 시간에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 부모는 학력, 경제형태, 성장지역, 숲 참여 기간, 숲 활동 시간, 숲 교육 여부에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 교사와 부모는 숲 프로그램에 대해 대체로 만족하고 있으나 부모가 교사보다 상대적으로 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide some information to stimulate the early childhood forest experience programs by looking at the relationship between the perception and the satisfaction in teachers and parents concerning childhood forest experience programs around the institute for these programs in Jeju. Our instrument for this study was a questionnaire administered to 49 early childhood teachers and 269 parents. The study showed that teachers’ and parents’ awareness of early childhood forest experience programs is similar. Concerning time spent and space for forest experience, parents and teachers have divergent opinions. There are statistically significant differences concerning degree of satisfaction with early childhood forest experience programs: to the teachers, age, career, education background, the number of children in a class, the motive for assigning the class, training hours, and the frequency of forest experience are the significant factors; whereas to the parents, education background, the place where they were raised, participated hours in the programs, the frequency of forest experience , the hours of activity in the forest and completing forest education are the significant factors. The study suggest that teachers and parents are largely satisfied with the forest programs, but parents’ satisfaction is relatively higher than that of teachers.
