초등학교 1학년 아동이 지각한 누리과정과 초등교육과정의 연계경험

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 1학년 아동을 대상으로 누리과정과 초등교육과정에 대한 연계경험을 알아보고, 두 교육과정을 아동의 관점에서 새롭게 바라보는 것이다. 이를 위한 질적연구로써 초등학교 1학년 아동 8명을 주 참여자로, 부모와 초등담임교사, 취학 전 담임교사를 보조 참여자로 선정하여 총 3차에 걸친 면담을 실시하고 아동의 기록과 누리과정 총론·해설서·지도서, 초등학교 1학년 교과서를 수집하여 분석하였다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 첫째, 아동은 누리과정 보다 일찍 끝나는 초등교육과정을 더 선호하고 있었다. 둘째, 아동은 유치원보다 초등학교가 더 논다고 인지하고 있었다. 셋째, 아동은 누리과정에서 배운 것을 초등교육과정에서 다시 배우니 쉽다고 느끼고 있었다. 넷째, 초등교육과정에서 어려움을 느끼는 부분은 학습 중 자신의 ‘생각’을 요구하는 문제에서 나타났다. 결과적으로 초등학교 1학년 아동이 겪은 경험은 대부분 긍정적이었지만 이는 연계가 잘되고 있다는 뜻은 아니었다. 이에 교육과정의 연계성과 아동의 연계경험을 동시에 고려한 누리과정 재검토가 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate first graders connected experiences between the Nuri and elementary curriculum, and take a new look at the two curriculums from the perspective of children. Consequently, qualitative research methods were implemented thrice on eight first graders who were primary participants; their parents, elementary school, and kindergarten homeroom teachers were assistant participants. In addition, the children s records (observation records, parent counseling records, kindergarten records, and journals), general guidelines, teacher s manual, guidebook and first-grade elementary school textbooks were collected and analyzed. The results are as follows: first, children preferred elementary curriculum classes that ended earlier than the Nuri curriculum classes. Second, children thought that they played more in elementary school than in kindergarten. Third, children learned what they did in the Nuri curriculum, so they felt it was easy. Finally, children had difficulty answering questions about their own “thinking” in the elementary curriculum. Based on the analysis, we have to review the Nuri curriculum again by simultaneously considering the curricular connections and children s connected experiences.
