국문 초록

본 연구는 유치원 교사의 감정노동에 대한 경험을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 서울에 위치한 사립유치원과 종사하고 있는 유아교사 7명으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아교사가 교육현장에서 경험하는 감정노동에는 교사역할 수행을 위한 내면감정조절, 교사-부모관계의 불균형, 암묵적 교직문화 관습의 수용이 있었다. 둘째, 유아교사의 감정표현을 통제하는 교육현장의 감정규칙에는 사회적 인식에 알맞은 교사상 강조와 사립유치원의 고찰된 운영체계 강조, 교사의 승진과 평가제도의 고려가 있었다. 셋째, 유치원 교사의 감정노동 관리방법에는 구성원들과 긍정적인 관계 맺기, 긍정적 표출을 통한 털어내기, 변화주어 기분 전환하기가 있었다. 넷째, 유아교사의 감정노동 해소를 위한 개선방안으로는 유아교사의 교육환경 개선, 유아교사의 전문성 향상, 유아교사의 교권신장이 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 유치원 교사가 경험하는 감정의 중요성을 깨닫고, 감정노동을 해소하기 위한 노력을 통해 유치원 교사의 행복한 교직생활을 보장받기를 바란다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to discuss the emotional labor experienced by the kindergarten teachers. Seven kindergarten teachers working for a private kindergarten in Seoul were interviewed as the subject. The result of this study are as follows: First, the emotional labor experienced by the kindergarten teachers involved fulfilling their roles as teachers with patience, submitting to the parents’ demands due to the dominance of their powers, and adjusting to the hierarchical culture of the organization. Second, the rules of educational sites that control the expression of emotions of the kindergarten teachers included the emphasis on the image of teachers for right social perception, the criteria laid by the operating systems of the private organizations, and the consideration of the promotion and evaluation systems. Third, the kindergarten teachers could manage emotional labor by building a positive relationship with the members, by giving positive expressions, and making changes for refreshment. Fourth, the measures to improve and relieve the emotional labor of the kindergarten teachers involved improving their educational environment, professionalism, and authority.
