인공지능과 빅데이터 기반 대학 혁신에 대한 대학 구성원의 인식과 시사점

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교수와 직원의 인식을 토대로 인공지능과 빅데이터 기술이 대학 경영과 학생지원 면에서 창출하는 부가가치가 무엇인지를 탐색하는 것이다. 또한, 이를 위해 대학은 어떤 데이터를 수집하고, 어떠한 조직 인프라를 구축해야 하는지도 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 많은 응답자가 인공지능과 빅데이터 기술을 활용함으로써 학생의 중도탈락을 예방하고, 학생별 맞춤형 교육과 지원을 하는 데 이바지할 수 있다고 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 직원들은 자신이 수행하는 과업과 관련해서 인공지능과 빅데이터가 창출하는 부가가치에 관심이 많았다. 셋째, 대학 차원에서 교육의 질 관리를 위한 인공지능과 빅데이터의 활용에 대한 기대가 컸다. 넷째, 인공지능과 빅데이터를 적극적으로 활용하기 위해서는 대학 차원에서 데이터를 체계적으로 관리하는 인프라가 필요하다는 응답이 많았고, 직원의 분석 역량 함양이 중요하다는 인식이 많았다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 대학에서 데이터를 기반으로 의사결정을 내리는 문화가 자리 잡을 때, 인공지능과 빅데이터의 활용이 더욱 촉진될 수 있음을 제언한다.

영문 초록

The this study explored the added value created by artificial intelligence and big data technology in terms of university innovation based on the perception of professors and employees. In addition, to this end, the study analyzed what data should be collected and what organizational infrastructure should be built. research findings are as follows. First, many respondents suggested that use of artificial intelligence and big data can be of great help in preventing students from dropping out and contribute to providing personalized learning support for students. Second, employees were interested in the added value created by artificial intelligence and big data in relation to their tasks. Third, expectations were high for the use of artificial intelligence and big data to improve the quality of education at the university level. Fourth, in order to better utilize artificial intelligence and big data, it was suggested that an infrastructure to systematically collect and manage data at the university level was necessary, and many recognized that it is of importance to promote employees capabilities to analyze the data. Finally, this study suggests that the use of artificial intelligence and big data can be further enhanced by establishing culture of data-based decision making.
